Requirements Engineer/Business Analyst - Identity Access Management (She/ He/ They)

The Requirements Engineer will gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements, ensuring alignment between stakeholders while supporting IAM and compliance projects, and maintaining documentation using Jira and Confluence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements through interviews, workshops, and collaboration with stakeholders across business and IT.
- Translate complex requirements into clear, structured functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable efficient development and testing.
- Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment and shared understanding across international environments.
- Support delivery in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and/or regulatory and compliance-driven projects, ensuring requirements meet security and audit expectations.
- Maintain and manage requirements documentation and backlog using tools such as Jira and Confluence, ensuring traceability and consistency.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the SDLC, supporting clarification, testing alignment, and validation of delivered functionality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., backlog refinement, sprint planning) and contribute to hybrid delivery models where applicable.
- Analyze business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, particularly in IAM and authorization-related areas.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with mixed business and technical stakeholders, driving decision-making and consensus.
- Support coordination with distributed (nearshore/offshore) teams, ensuring smooth communication and delivery continuity.
- Contribute to compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NPA-like requirements) and ensure proper integration into product or system design.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer in IT projects.
- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following domains:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) or
- Regulatory / compliance-driven projects (e.g. audit, NPA-like topics, security)
- Strong skills in requirements elicitation (interviews, workshops), requirements analysis, and documentation.
- Ability to write clear, unambiguous functional requirements and user stories (including acceptance criteria).
- Experience working in cross-functional, international teams (business, IT, external partners).
- Familiarity with Jira / Confluence or comparable ALM tools for documenting and tracking requirements.
- Very good English (spoken and written) for daily project communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, structured and independent way of working.
Methodology
- Experience with agile (Scrum / Kanban) and/or hybrid project approaches.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and basic understanding of testing processes.
Nice-to-have qualifications
Domain & technical knowledge
- Experience in IAM projects with tools such as One Identity, IGA systems, or similar solutions.
- Knowledge of NPA or comparable regulatory frameworks in insurance or financial services.
- Experience with ERGO or Munich Re environment, especially:
- IAM process landscape
- IT landscape and key stakeholders
- Existing IGA solutions (e.g. CARE)
- Basic understanding of IT security, authorization concepts, and role models.
Languages & soft skills
- English language skills (spoken and written) to communicate with international stakeholders.
- Experience in working with nearshore/offshore teams (e.g. Poland, India).
- Strong facilitation and moderation skills for workshops with mixed business/IT participants.
