Travel: Remote, with limited national travel (3–5 trips per year)

Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA) and Cardiovascular Research Solutions (CVRS)

CVAUSA is the nation’s largest network of community-based cardiology practices. Through Cardiovascular Research Solutions (CVRS), CVAUSA supports and accelerates cardiovascular clinical research across its national footprint—partnering with practices, sponsors, and CROs to bring innovative therapies to patients while advancing evidence-based cardiovascular care. CVRS plays a central role in launching new trials, supporting new research sites, developing strategic partnerships, and building scalable infrastructure to support our high-performing, multisite cardiovascular research network.

Position Summary

The Research Project Manager is a central research operations role responsible for providing project management leadership for complex initiatives across Cardiovascular Research Solutions. Reporting to the Director of Research, this individual will manage and coordinate projects related to clinical trial startup, sponsor and CRO partnerships, new research initiatives, vendor implementation, meetings and conferences, and other network-wide research activities.

This role serves as a key organizer, coordinator, and driver of execution—ensuring that research initiatives are well planned, aligned across stakeholders, and delivered on time. The Research Project Manager will work closely with CVAUSA research leadership, practice research teams, sponsors, CROs, and vendors to support the successful launch and execution of late-stage cardiovascular clinical trials across a growing national network.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in multisite clinical research project management, a solid understanding of late-stage trials, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide project management leadership for both straightforward initiatives and complex, cross-functional research initiatives within Cardiovascular Research Solutions.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for initiatives spanning trial startup, site onboarding, vendor implementation, and strategic research programs.

  • Track progress, risks, and dependencies; proactively identify and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.

  • Support coordination across research leadership, operations, legal, finance, and external partners to ensure aligned execution.

  • Assist with planning and execution of new vendor partnerships and technology implementations that support research operations.

  • Organize and support research-related meetings, including sponsor meetings, internal planning sessions, weekly team meetings, and conferences.

  • Manage calendars, agendas, meeting materials, action items, and follow-up communications.

  • Prepare project updates, summaries, and materials for research leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Contribute to initiatives designed to scale Cardiovascular Research Solutions as the network continues to grow.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in project management within a multisite clinical research network, CRO, sponsor, or academic research organization.

  • Solid understanding of late-stage (Phase II–IV) clinical trial organization and startup processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational, communication, PowerPoint, and problem-solving skills.

  • Adept at using project management software platforms such as Monday.com, Wrike, or similar tools.

Preferred

  • Experience in cardiovascular clinical research.

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
