Role Overview:

We are a private equity–backed, SaaS company seeking a Revenue Accountant to support our finance organization. This role is highly visible and will be instrumental in strengthening revenue accounting processes, ensuring ASC 606 compliance, and supporting operational rigor required in a PE environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, majority offshore accounting organization, has strong technical accounting skills, and understands the importance of audit readiness, process discipline, and data integrity as the company scales toward its next value-creation milestone.

What will I do?

  • Wholly own end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606 for all subscription and professional services revenue
  • Review customer contracts and assess proper revenue treatment, including identification of performance obligations, transaction price allocation, and recognition timing
  • Review monthly revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and rollforwards  
  • Review and manage deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and contract assets/liabilities
  • Assist with tax filing of all required sales and use tax returns and other statutory filings
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Revenue Operations teams
  • Support monthly and quarterly close cycles  
  • Maintain and enhance revenue accounting policies and internal controls  

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance  
  • 5–8+ years of accounting experience, SaaS preferred  
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and their application in SaaS environments
  • Proven experience reviewing and analyzing complex customer contracts for revenue implications
  • Strong understanding of subscription business models, multi-element arrangements, and professional services revenue
  • Experience with deferred revenue calculations, contract modifications, and revenue allocation
  • Proficiency Intacct, NetSuite and Salesforce
  • Strong technical accounting skills and ability to research GAAP guidance
  • Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
  • CPA highly preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in PE-backed or high-growth environments
