Western Door Federal is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist with Radiology and Informatics expertise to support the Defense Health Agency.

The role focuses on optimizing Revenue Cycle operations with a specialized emphasis on radiology workflows and health informatics.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) knowledge in MHS GENESIS Revenue Cycle, including all Charge Services, with expertise in radiology billing and informatics systems.
  • Optimize workflows and charge capture opportunities within radiology departments to improve operational efficiency and revenue cycle outcomes.
  • Analyze and reconcile suspended charges and Discharged Not Final Billed (DNFB), which refers to patient accounts where services have been provided but the final bill has not been issued due to missing documentation or coding errors. Use a sprint framework to prioritize and reduce backlog.
  • Support the development and rollout of scalable enterprise Revenue Cycle programs, including radiology informatics integration.
  • Design and implement decision-support tools focused on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for fiscal health, including radiology-specific metrics.
  • Apply Revenue Cycle principles, including charge capture, coding, billing, reimbursement, denial management, and compliance, with a focus on radiology services.
  • Collaborate on training materials and workflow optimization for radiology staff and informatics users.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or health informatics (Associate degree + 5 years of experience may substitute).
  • Background in radiology technology, medical imaging, or radiology administration.
  • US citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
  • Favorable adjudication of a T1 background investigation.
  • Substantial knowledge of Revenue Cycle concepts and operations, specifically in radiology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Military Health System (MHS) environment.
  • Familiarity with PACS integration, imaging informatics, and health informatics systems.
