Job Duties and Responsibilities
RF Engineer II sought by DISH Wireless in Austin, TX
Perform RF design activities related to building the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US. Optimize end-to-end RF design including propagation modeling and prediction for deployment of Macro Cell deployment. Regulate equipment and power configurations. Work with eNB/RAN and UE teams on RF solutions including modifications to RF link budgets on a per site level basis to meet operations requirements. Perform site candidate evaluation and selection as well as site walks. Work with RF Management to establish design criteria, link budget, and traffic examination as needed for network design. Update existing performance parameters for ongoing improvements as required. Coordinate cell site call testing, optimization drive activities, and troubleshoot cell site issues as they impede signing off on all tests passing in the market. Manage projects and processes. Coach and review the work of lower level engineers.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical (Telecommunication) Engineering, or a closely related field plus 2 years of LTE RF Design experience in job offered, Regional Manager, or similar roles. Also requires 2 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

Compensation: $110,000.00/Year
