Our Austin, TX Office has an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Civil/Roadway Engineer(s) to join our Roadway Design Team.  This role has the potential to grow into a Roadway Design Task Lead or Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop highway geometrics, 3D models, drainage and storm water management, signing and striping, erosion and sediment control, and utility coordination.

  • Planning and schematic design through PS&E design and into construction while applying engineering techniques, procedures, and standards.

  • Follow through company’s established quality control and quality assurance procedures to perform quality control checks and ensure design plans implement required design standards and specifications.

  • Work with a team of engineers (EITs and professionals) to successfully deliver projects while implementing client focused specifications and needs.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to technical engineering staff ranging from junior to mid-level.

  • Develop plans quantities and engineering estimates and develop construction specifications.

  • Provide construction support, including plan reviews, response to contractor when questions arise, and project progress oversight.

  • Lead or assist in tracking project progress, budgets, and schedules to ensure completion of project timely and within budget.

  • Work in a team environment and participate in business development efforts, meetings with clients, and proposal preparation as needed.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License.

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze engineering problems and design effective solutions.

  • Experience with industry-standard design software including MicroStation, Open Roads, InRoads/Geopack. AutoCAD is a plus.

  • Active participation in professional societies encouraged.

  • Strong organizational and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.

  • Stay abreast of updates in industry standards and regulations in roadway engineering.

Compensation Range:

$104,402.58 - $119,317.24
