THE ROLE

As a Robotics Deployment Engineer, you will manage complex customer rollouts and initial system deployments. This role bridges the gap between technical development and real-world application, involving environment assessments, workflow mapping, and remote/onsite support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Deployment Management: Execute full-cycle robot deployment, including environment assessments and safety reviews.
  2. Workflow Integration: Perform workflow mapping and coordinate with customer IT and Operations teams.
  3. Technical Calibration: Lead Camera and LIDAR calibration processes.
  4. System Configuration: Utilize ROS/ROS2 for system launch, configuration, and data bag management.
  5. Scripting & Data: Develop simple Python or Bash scripts for teleoperation, data capture, and replay.
  6. Mixed Support: Provide a combination of remote and onsite technical support during the rollout phase.

RequirementsREQUIREMENTS
  1. Background: Experience as a field engineer in robotics startups, automation system integrators, or as an FSE for robotic OEMs.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ROS/ROS2 and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  3. Experience: Demonstrated success in completing full-cycle robot deployments.
  4. Language Proficiency: Professional English for stakeholder communication and technical documentation.
  5. Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Advanced experience with system integration and factory commissioning.
  2. Ability to lead first-batch rollouts for complex customer environments.
  3. Deep understanding of mechatronics and industrial equipment standards.
