As a Robotics Field Engineer, you will work on-site to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair robotic systems. You provide technical support to clients, ensuring that robotics systems operate efficiently and effectively in real-world environments. When you are not in the field, you will design, develop, and maintain the software systems that control and operate our robots. Your responsibilities include writing algorithms, creating control systems, and developing user interfaces for robotics applications. Moreover, you design and conduct tests in simulation and on real hardware.

What you'll be doing

  • Install robotic systems at client sites and train clients or end-users on the operation and maintenance of robotics systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware or software components of robots.
  • Maintain records of service activities, issues, and resolutions. Provide reports to the engineering team.
  • Design and implement algorithms for perception, localization, mapping, and mission execution.
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and optimization of software for improved performance and reliability.
  • Prepare documentation and guidelines for software operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

What you must have

  • At least MSc in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong technical knowledge of robotics hardware and software.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and training.
  • Flexibility to travel to different locations as needed.
  • Strong proficiency in programming C++ and/or Python.
  • Experience with robotics frameworks and libraries, such as ROS2.
  • Experience working on and troubleshooting real robot hardware.
