Job Description:

Join Altera as a Sales Account Manager! The Sales Account Manager role is a combination of growing existing business within assigned accounts, and uncovering new business by partnering with Altera's authorized distributors. This role's responsibility focuses on the geographic territory that consists of TX, LA, AR, and OK.

The individual in this role will own sales budget targets for metrics like new opportunities uncovered, new design wins, and revenue growth at the accounts within the specified geographic territory. In order to achieve these targets, the individual will drive all sales activities including: demand creation, opportunity development, forecasting, pipeline hygiene, sales execution, and relationship management.

Internally, this individual will drive opportunity visibility, accelerate technical support coordination, and manage issue resolution through collaboration with marketing, operations, applications engineering, and other supporting roles.   

Salary Range 

The compensation below is reflective of a sales role that includes a salary + incentive. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor within the US market. Actual compensation may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc.

$181.1K - $262.3K USD 

 

We use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position. Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations. 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technology field.

  • 5+ years experience in technical sales 

Preferred:

  • Experience with FPGA/SoC or ASIC design  

  • Experience with programmable logic or other specialized compute engines (microprocessors, GPU, CPU, etc.) 

  • Experience working with major tech distributor(s) (e.g. Arrow Electronics, Macnica) 

  • Experience working with tech design firm(s) 

  • Experience navigating and maintaining a CRM tool like Salesforce
