About the Role

We are looking for a well-established Sales & Business Development Director to develop Surecomp's presence with banks in the United States. This is a business development role, focused on building relationships with prospects and partners and opening new opportunities in the region.

The role is suited to a tenured professional with a strong network in the US banking market, who can leverage existing relationships to create access, generate interest, and build a foundation for long-term growth.

The position is offered on a contractor basis, starting at two days per week. As activity in the region grows, there is potential to expand the scope of the engagement.

You will work closely with Solution Consulting, Marketing, and the wider commercial team to turn new relationships into qualified opportunities.

Location: Ohio or South Carolina, US (Remote)

Travel: As needed. This is a customer-facing field role that requires full openness to travel.

Employment: Contractor, 2 days per week

Reporting to: Head of Commercial LATAM

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop Surecomp's presence in the US banking market by building relationships with banks, prospects, and partners.
  • Leverage an established network to open doors and secure meetings with senior decision-makers.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities and build an early-stage pipeline.
  • Develop partnerships that can support Surecomp's growth in the region.
  • Represent Surecomp at industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
  • Collaborate with Solution Consulting and the commercial team to progress qualified opportunities.
  • Share market insights and feedback with the commercial and product teams.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and activity tracking.
Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive, tenured experience in business development or enterprise sales within the US banking market.
  • A strong, established network within US banks, including senior decision-makers.
  • Experience selling enterprise software, fintech, or banking technology solutions to banks.
  • Based in Ohio or South Carolina.
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken.

Advantages

  • Knowledge of Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance, or transaction banking.
  • Experience developing partner or channel relationships in financial services.
  • Exposure to cloud-based banking solutions.
