Sales Development Representative Intern (2026)

What is Fizz

Fizz is America’s biggest college social app, allowing Gen Z to connect around their shared experiences and identities. College Fizz communities feature a private, moderated feed of posts from verified students, making it the most entertaining and authentic way to experience student life. Our newest product, Global Fizz, brings together all of Gen Z nationwide, providing a space to satisfy the 99% of life not on entertainment platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Fizz is on a mission to bring social back to social media.

What we’ve done

We first launched Fizz at Stanford in July 2021 and have since seen >95% of undergraduates join the app, half of which use Fizz every day. Since raising a $25M Series B in July 2023, we have established ourselves as the dominant community platform at 700+ colleges, have begun to generate revenue through advertising, and are actively expanding to communities beyond college.

Where we’re going

We have three primary goals for 2025-2026: continue our expansion to the entire US college market, drive revenue growth through our revolutionary ads business, and rapidly iterate on our product to become the dominant social platform for all of Gen Z, not just US college students.

About the role

As a Sales Development Rep Intern, you will directly support monetization growth for a product you care about. We aim to give our sales interns the same responsibilities and autonomy as full-time team members, and you'll be responsible for owning outreach messaging, strategy, and sales prospecting flow end-to-end. If this type of experience excites you, this internship will be a great fit.

Your responsibilities

  • Own sales development outreach for a target list of advertising agencies and brands, with the goal of setting up qualified meetings for the Fizz sales team.

  • Research agencies and brands via websites and LinkedIn to evaluate fit for advertising on Fizz (e.g., confirming paid media ownership and identifying relevant decision-makers).

  • Verify and update provided agency and brand contacts; identify and research new contacts when needed.

  • Execute outbound outreach through email, LinkedIn, and agency website submissions to introduce Fizz’s advertising solutions and generate interest.

  • Identify and recommend additional brands that are a strong fit for Fizz’s college audience; incorporate approved brands into outbound efforts.

  • Mock up ad creative for brand outreach using Fizz-provided templates to help illustrate advertising opportunities.

  • Craft and test custom outreach messaging, while tracking daily activity, responses, and results in Fizz’s systems.

  • Review outreach performance, insights, and feedback with the Head of Brand Solutions on a weekly basis throughout the internship.

Qualifications

  • Be a current undergrad college student that is personally a user of Fizz.

  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, thoughtful, and professional outreach messages.

  • Comfortable conducting research across websites, LinkedIn, and other online resources to evaluate fit and identify decision-makers.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to consistently track outreach and follow up effectively.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment while staying accountable to goals and timelines.

  • Interest in sales, partnerships, advertising, media, or brand marketing; prior experience in sales or marketing is a plus but not required.

  • Familiarity with the digital advertising landscape, LinkedIn, email prospecting, and basic CRM or tracking tools is a bonus.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

This is a remote internship (up to 15 hours per week) starting with a one-month commitment and potential for extension. The compensation range is $14-20 per hour, depending on location. This role is open to candidates located in the following states: FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OK, OR, PA, RI, TN, TX, VA, DC, and WI.
