Hemut is transforming the American trucking industry through the creation of revolutionary software and various other products for fleets. Since founding in December of 2024, the company has grown extremely fast; in the past 15 months we've graduated from YC X25, raised a multi-million seed round, partnered with leading players, and garnered nearly $1 million in booked revenue.

We're looking to bring on Sales Development Representatives to drive outbound sales for our white-label diesel fuel card program. As an SDR, you will work directly alongside our Head of Sales, and founding Go-to-Market team at Hemut to advance our mission.

Daily work will consist of sales strategy ideation in group meetings, learning the fundamentals of pitching and addressing objections, cold calling (LOTS OF THIS), managing your leads in a CRM, actively managing your own list of clients, and coordinating between leadership of various partner companies. SDRs who perform well will gain deep experience in B2B fuel card sales and fleet services.

Ultimately, top performing SDRs will be brought back to the company as full time employees.

NEEDED QUALIFICATIONS (DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE):

  • You are actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at a US college or university
  • You are a US citizen and authorized to work in the United States
  • You have prior sales experience or directly related experience (cold calling, door-to-door, telemarketing, retail, fundraising, customer service)
  • You have exceptional verbal communication skills in English and can perform well in high-volume phone sales
  • You are a self starter, love to take initiative, and have high agency
  • You must be able to dedicate 15 hours a week to the position
  • You're excited by the idea of cold calling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You are a junior or senior in your college program
  • You are highly charismatic and social
  • You are not scared of rejection
  • You have experience in sales, logistics, or trucking

Job Specifics:

  • Start date is immediate
  • Pay is based on commission with SDRs receiving 10% of the value of the first year of each contract they land as a cash payout. Top performers will be brought on as salaried employees
  • This position is available as fully remote or hybrid. We are based in Fresno, CA.
