About True North Insights

True North Insights is a global expert network that connects organizations with subject matter experts who provide critical insights to inform strategic decision-making.

We believe the right knowledge can move the world forward. Since day one, that belief has driven everything we do. We exist to break through complexity, giving global investors and business leaders frictionless access to the insights that matter most — insights that fuel confident decisions, unlock opportunity, and power successful careers.

Founded in 2019 in New York City, our firm has skyrocketed from launch to becoming #7 in North America and #10 globally in just five years — and we’re just getting started. As we expand into Europe and beyond, there’s never been a better time to join our high-growth, global team.

The Sales Development Representative is a critical member of the True North Insights revenue organization, responsible for driving top-of-funnel pipeline generation across corporate, consulting, and financial services markets. This role serves as the foundation of our go-to-market motion—directly supporting senior sales reps through disciplined outbound prospecting, strategic account mapping, and consistent meeting generation.

The SDR will be expected to develop a strong command of their target accounts, engage decision-makers through a combination of high-volume cold calling and tailored written outreach, and build lasting penetration across complex organizations. Success in this role requires a high standard of daily execution, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to represent True North Insights with professionalism and credibility at every touchpoint.

This is a cohort hire — you will join alongside peers at the same stage, creating an environment of shared development and healthy internal competition. Performance is tracked, recognized, and rewarded. For those who excel, the path forward is clearly defined: SDR → Senior SDR → Account Executive.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute high-volume outbound prospecting across corporate, consulting, and financial services accounts.
  • Cold call decision makers and gatekeepers daily — phone is your primary weapon.
  • Write customized, research-backed emails tailored to each prospect’s role, firm, and likely pain points.
  • Map target organizations: identify the right stakeholders, understand reporting structures, and find the best path to a conversation.
  • Set qualified meetings for senior True North Insights sales reps and ensure clean, thorough handoffs.
  • Manage both new logo prospecting and expansion outreach within existing accounts.
  • Log all activity and maintain CRM hygiene — if it isn’t tracked, it didn’t happen.
  • Ramp your knowledge of how corporate strategy teams, consulting practices, and financial services firms use expert networks — credibility matters on the phone.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with any academic background — we don’t care what you studied; we care how you think and how you work.
  • 0-2 years of professional sales or business development experience
  • You’re comfortable on the phone and don’t need to warm up to cold calling — you embrace it.
  • You write well. A personalized, compelling email is something you can produce quickly and take pride in.
  • You’re disciplined with your time and your pipeline. Volume without organization is noise.
  • You’re competitive and you want to be held accountable. Quotas don’t scare you — they motivate you.
  • You’re coachable. You’ll receive direct feedback here and you’re expected to act on it.
  • Positive, motivated, goal-oriented mentality

Why True North Insights
  • Clear growth milestones to accelerate your career.
  • Potential to advance into leadership roles, including equity opportunities within 24 months.
  • Hybrid working model
  • Compensation: 18.000€ - 22.000€ annually
  • Bonuses and incentives: Performance-based bonus based on individual achievements
  • Private Health insurance
  • Opportunity to contribute to the growth of a rapidly expanding organization.
  • Daily office perks: Snacks, Monday breakfast, and weekly social events
