The OpportunityThe Sales Director, Enterprise is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives by promoting and selling SoundHound’s Amelia platform, a leading conversational AI solution tailored for high-volume Contact Centers. The ideal candidate will bring over 7+ years of experience in SaaS and/or Contact Centers across enterprise accounts as well as experience supporting employee functions like CX, EX, IT Service Desks, HR, and AI enabled customer interaction. A preference for contact center tools and processes, including CCaaS and financial services platforms.
- Develop expertise in SoundHound’s portfolio, with a focus on enhancing CX and EX outcomes in large Enterprise accounts through conversational AI and Generative AI integration.
- Build, manage, qualify, and close deals within a rolling 12-month sales pipeline.
- Make prospecting a consistent part of your routine to ensure a steady flow of new prospects.
- Identify and utilize appropriate contract vehicles to penetrate specific clients.
- Engage cross-functional SoundHound resources (Engineering, Marketing, Proposal Development, Finance) at the right stages of the sales cycle.
- Stay informed on industry trends and business priorities.
- Develop compelling points of view on how autonomic and cognitive solutions can transform prospects' businesses.
- Leverage SoundHound’s Partner relationships to sell into clients, whether as a Prime or Subcontractor.
- Ensure SoundHound delivers consistently excellent service, as reflected in customer satisfaction metrics.
- Take a leadership role in industry trade associations and attend relevant events.
- Actively participate in the RFP process and demonstrate the ability to take on multiple roles.
- Continuously learn about new SoundHound solutions and refine your selling skills.
- Assist in contract negotiations.
- Deep understanding of how to qualify and manage objections in complex sales cycles.
- 7+ years of sales experience selling into corporate Enterprise clients (G2000/F500) and larger.
- Experience in Contact Centers or SaaS across various industries and support areas.
- While experience with autonomic and cognitive solutions is not required, experience with analytic solutions that impact operational business processes is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of sales cycles, regulations, and experience working with top decision-makers.
- Proven track record of achieving assigned quotas.
- Ability to manage a pipeline of 20+ opportunities simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven success in prospecting, building a pipeline, advancing opportunities through the sales cycle, and presenting solutions to C-level executives and other decision-makers.
- Ability to craft solutions that align with business priorities based on client discussions.
- Preference for candidates located in the northeast and near a major airport.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
This position is available for remote work across the United States, with a preference for candidates located in the northeast. Employees within a 60-mile radius of a SoundHound AI office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide “core days” per month to encourage in-person cross-team collaboration.
The estimated salary for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 plus bonus & equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
