Job Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Sales Director to help us drive the next stage of growth at Buildkite. As a Sales Director at Buildkite, you will be responsible for building and mentoring a high-performing sales team with the opportunity to lead strategic deals with some of the most innovative companies in the world.
You'll be a strategic partner to the Chief Revenue Officer, fostering a culture of success and exceeding sales targets.
🚀 What You’ll Do
Lead Revenue Growth at Buildkite
- Drive revenue performance across the North America team, in partnership with the CRO
- Build and execute sales plans that increase pipeline, win rates, and deal size
- Support Account Executives in closing high-value and strategic opportunities
Grow and Lead a High-Performing Sales Team
- Lead and coach a team of Account Executives to consistently meet and exceed quota
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support ongoing development
Strengthen Forecasting and Sales Performance
- Maintain strong pipeline management and accurate forecasting across the region
- Track team performance and use sales data to improve execution and results
- Provide clear reporting and updates to sales leadership and ELT on progress against targets
Build Strong Alignment Across Buildkite
- Partner with Marketing, Product and Engineering to align on go-to-market priorities
- Share customer insights and market feedback to strengthen messaging and positioning
- Help improve sales processes and collaboration as the company grows
Lead Key Customer Relationships and Complex Deals
- Build relationships with senior customer stakeholders and key accounts
- Lead deal strategy and support negotiations on larger, more complex opportunities
- Represent Buildkite as a trusted partner in the CI/CD and developer tools space
🎨 What You Bring
- A strong track record of managing high-performing sales teams in a B2B SaaS environment
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform strategy, forecast accurately, and drive sustained sales growth
- Proven experience building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Skilled at analyzing performance metrics and generating reports that enable effective decision-making
- History of consistently exceeding sales goals and thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Experience mentoring, leading and fostering professional development
- Exceptional listening, presentation, and written communication skills, adeptly connecting with audiences at all levels
- Familiarity with CI/CD or related developer tools (a plus)
