Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to support our sales team by providing in-depth product demonstrations, responding to RFPs, configuring solutions to meet client needs, and representing our company at industry trade shows. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, the ability to translate complex solutions into compelling value propositions for customers and be a natural fit to a high performing team. An understanding of the legal domain or contract lifecycle management (CLM) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct live and virtual product demonstrations tailored to client needs.
- Articulate technical capabilities and business value effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and craft compelling solution presentations.
- Manage and complete RFP/RFI responses in collaboration with sales, product, and legal teams.
- Configure and customize software solutions to align with client requirements.
- Assist in proof-of-concepts (PoC’s) to showcase product functionality.
- Travel to trade shows, conferences, and customer events to provide product demonstrations and technical expertise.
- Engage with prospects, answer technical questions, and gather market insights.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to product improvements.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and best practices, particularly in the legal technology space.
- Support marketing efforts by contributing to webinars, case studies, and technical content.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions consulting, or pre-sales roles.
- Strong understanding of SaaS solutions, enterprise software, or legal technology.
- Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and managing technical sales documentation.
- Ability to configure and tailor software solutions based on customer needs.
- Willingness to travel for trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings (up to 30%).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of contract lifecycle management (CLM), or legal operations.
- Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Familiarity with API integrations, workflow automation, or legal compliance tools.
