About the team and role

New Business Team, GBG Americas

The New Business team at GBG in the Americas region is a driving force behind our company's growth and market expansion. Focused on identifying and securing new clients, this team plays a critical role in introducing GBG’s identity verification, fraud prevention, and compliance solutions to businesses across various industries.

By leveraging deep industry knowledge and a consultative sales approach, the New Business team works to understand the unique challenges of potential clients and offer tailored solutions that drive value. The team collaborates closely with cross-functional departments—including Product, Professional Services, Marketing, and Pre-Sales—to ensure GBG's solutions align with market demands and client needs.

With a strong focus on innovation, relationship-building, and strategic partnerships, the New Business team is instrumental in shaping GBG’s presence in the Americas, securing high-value deals, and contributing to the overall success of the company’s go-to-market strategy. Their success not only brings in new revenue but also strengthens GBG's brand and reputation in the identity and fraud prevention space.

Sales Executive

GBG is seeking a driven Sales Executive to join our high-growth New Business team in the Americas region, reporting to the SVP of New Business. In this hunter role, the Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities for our identity verification and fraud prevention solutions, while also expanding relationships with a select group of existing customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling SaaS solutions, preferably in the Fraud and Identity space, and a proven ability to navigate the full sales process—from prospecting to closing deals. This role requires someone skilled in building and managing a strong pipeline, understanding client needs, and effectively positioning GBG’s solutions to drive revenue growth.

What you will do

  • Identify and engage new prospective clients to introduce GBG’s identity verification and fraud prevention solutions.
  • Sell additional products and services to a portfolio of named existing customers.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Understand and effectively navigate the sales process, from initial outreach through to contract negotiations and closing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product and Marketing, to ensure alignment with client needs and market trends.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and maintain knowledge of GBG’s solutions to position them effectively to potential clients.
Requirements

Skills we're looking for

  • Proven sales experience in a SaaS environment, ideally within the Fraud, Identity Verification, or related technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of new business development and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong experience in managing the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals with enterprise-level customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow a sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and lead generation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand GBG’s identity and fraud prevention solutions, translating product knowledge into client value.
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams, including Product and Marketing, to ensure solutions meet client needs and market trends.
  • A results-driven, customer-focused mindset, with a passion for building long-lasting client relationships.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (such as Salesforce) to track and manage sales activities and pipelines.
