About the role

Azumo is hiring a Sales Executive to originate new AI and ML services engagements with enterprise and mid-market companies across the US and Canada. Over 80% of our new revenue now comes from AI-driven projects, and we need a seller who can identify the right opportunities, navigate technical buying committees, and close deals with real engineering scope.

This is a hunter role. You will own pipeline generation, qualification, and close. You will work alongside our engineering leadership on technical discovery and proposal development. You will sell into CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Data, and their teams.

What you'll do

Originate new AI and ML services opportunities through targeted outbound, warm introductions, partner referrals, and inbound lead follow-up

Build and manage a qualified pipeline across enterprise and mid-market accounts in the US and Canada

Run technical discovery in partnership with our solutions and engineering leadership, converting business problems into defensible engagement scopes

Shape proposals, SOWs, and commercial terms that reflect the real complexity of AI implementation work

Navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes involving technical evaluators, finance, legal, and executive sponsors

Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in HubSpot

Represent Azumo's engineering credibility in client conversations, not just our company story

Requirements

What we're looking for

Solid experience selling technology services or custom software engineering engagements to US-based buyers.

A track record of originating new logo business, not only expanding existing accounts

Working fluency in AI and ML sufficient to hold a substantive first call with a technical buyer. You do not need to be an engineer, but you do need to speak credibly about model selection, LLM applications, data engineering, and production deployment concerns

Experience carrying quota against six-figure and low-seven-figure deal sizes with multi-stakeholder decision processes

Strong discovery skills. You lead with questions, not pitches

Disciplined about CRM hygiene, forecasting, and pipeline reviews

Written and verbal communication that holds up in front of senior technical and executive audiences

Based in the United States and authorized to work in the US

Nice to have

Prior experience selling nearshore or distributed engineering services

Existing relationships with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, or Heads of Data at mid-market or enterprise companies

Background in consulting, engineering, or another technical discipline before moving into sales

Benefits

Company benefits include:

  • Paid Time Off
  • Mentored Career Development
  • U.S. Holidays
  • USD Remuneration
  • Profit Sharing
  • Maternity Coverage
  • 100% Remote

Compensation and location

Remote within the United States. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes base salary plus commission.

About Azumo

Azumo is a software engineering partner for the era of AI. We have shipped production AI work for Meta, Discovery Channel, and dozens of other companies building real products on AI foundations. We are a services company, which means our credibility is measured by what we deliver, not by what we pitch. This role exists because we are seeing more demand for AI implementation work than we currently have capacity to originate through our inbound only go-to-market strategy.
