YOU MUST BE IN TEXAS AND ABLE TO DO IN PERSON VISITS BUT THIS ROLE IS PRIMARILY REMOTE

Summary of Primary Function:

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for filling daily and weekly therapist capacity and driving visit volume growth within assigned IHT agency accounts, and will be hands-on in providing support to the back office team from intake to scheduling and throughout the plan of care. This is both an operational support and a tactical inside sales role focused on converting near-term opportunity into staffed visits through direct outreach to agency partners. The Sales Support Specialist exercises significant independent judgment in prioritizing outreach, determining approach, and making escalation decisions. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy within the IHT growth model and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Contact agency partners directly to fill open therapist capacity on a same-day and next-day basis.
  • Identify, pursue, and convert near-term visit opportunities across assigned accounts through direct outreach and tactical selling.
  • Manage service barriers and problem solve across internal back office teams to remove blockers to capacity fill and visit execution.
  • Independently assess account needs to determine outreach priorities that support business growth, adjusting approach as needed.
  • Track excess capacity identified versus filled and report net weekly visit growth to the Operations Manager.
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining when account risks, visit shrinkage, and service blockers require escalation to the Operations Manager or Regional VP of Operations versus resolution at the Account Manager level, responding with urgency and acting without requiring direction.
  • Identify account opportunities and at-risk trends and communicate recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Clinical to ensure internal execution supports agency commitments.
  • Maintain working knowledge of assigned agency operations, staffing cycles, and referral patterns sufficient to anticipate capacity needs and proactively position IHT's available therapist supply.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and responsibilities of this position.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in inside sales, account development, or a comparable client-facing role required; healthcare staffing or home health experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding volume or activity-based targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office required.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:

  •  Strong outbound communication skills with confidence initiating and sustaining agency relationships by phone.
  • Ability to reprioritize quickly in a fast-moving, capacity-driven environment.
  • Sound independent judgment in managing outreach strategy, timing, and escalation decisions.
  • Results-oriented with strong self-management and accountability.
  • Collaborative working style with internal Operations and Clinical teams.

Compensation is based on experience and includes a base plus commission. Benefits eligible position.
