The Hustle 

The Hustle is a modern information company working to build a direct relationship with the 80M+ professionals in the US. Specifically, we’re starting with business news, information, and analysis.  

We are completely changing how digital media brands build brand loyalty. And you, as one of our early hires, will help us get to where we need to go.

Here’s how it works 

Each morning, we send our daily business news email, The Hustle Daily, to an incredibly large and loyal audience. And, at just over three years old, we’re one of the fastest growing media brands in the country. 

While we currently monetize our audience through large advertising deals with brands like Microsoft and Salesforce, we're now launching subscription products and services for our audience of builders and tinkerers. 

It’s our belief that the next CNN, Fox, or NBC (what we want to become) will need a large, loyal audience, a voice that is trusted, and revenue that is diversified. This is what we are working towards. 

The Role 

This posting is for a full-time Account Manager position, remote OK. 

Two of The Hustle's key revenue drivers are advertising and sponsorships. Our Sales team seeks like-minded advertising partners who believe in our voice and who have products and services our community enjoys and wants. In turn, our Account Management team strives to ensure each advertising partner and event sponsor reaches their goals, all while maintaining the trust and integrity of our voice without exception.  

As an Account Manager, you will take the lead on all post-sale activities to ensure advertising campaigns are executed on time and in a way that, ideally, exceeds both our and our clients’ expectations so we can continue to drive industry-crushing renewal rates.   

The perfect Account Manager candidate is an expert communicator who is extremely organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.

What you'll be doing

 -Manage the post-sale advertising operations process from start to finish (kick-off call through campaign execution to renewal call) 

-Effectively communicate `good news, bad news, and everything in between to ensure alignment across our team and our clients  

-Handle all client communications in order to meet our hard daily deadlines (The Hustle Daily is sent at 6am CT every day) 

- Identify the deliverables and timelines needed in order to execute all advertising campaigns in your book of business 

-Analyze advertising data, then provide data-based insights to clients in a way that is both incredibly honest and incredibly intriguing 

- Collaborate with our Sales team to successfully kick-off advertising campaigns and drive renewals 

-Collaborate with our Creative Team to ensure ad quality is high and expectations are being met, both for clients and for The Hustle 

-Troubleshoot, problem solve, and offer solutions to maximize campaign successes 

Required Skills & Qualifications  

-2-3 years of advertising account management (or related) experience 

-Familiarity with tools like Asana, Excel, Salesforce and GoogleSuite products 

-Incredibly organized and able to manage multiple projects while meeting daily deadlines 

-Proven track record of client retainment

-Customer-obsessed problem-solver 

-Intrinsically motivated self-starter 

-Passionate about advertising and media 

-Legally eligible to work in the United States
