Business Development Manager
The Q2 Business Development Organization has a new career opportunity available for a Business Development Manager. This key individual will be ideally situated in the “hunter” role responsible for identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships for the BaaS and Cloud Lending groups within Q2. This candidate will work closely with Product, Sales and the broader Business Development team to drive 3rd party technology and revenue opportunities for Q2.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience specifically within the Fintech, Alternative FI, and Card industries, and have the ability to secure strategic partnerships while working closely with internal and external constituents to drive meaningful 3rd party revenue.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to identify, prioritize and procure strategic partnerships
Manage the entire evaluation process and effectively negotiate contracts to closure
Create revenue forecasts and generate “go-to-market” pricing
Work closely with Partnership Onboarding to launch partnerships
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
10 - 12 + years’ B2B business development experience
Previous experience in Finetch, Card, Banking, and Banking Software industry required
Proficiency in using Microsoft tools – PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong influencing skills and ability to build relationships both internally and with partners
Previous experience building relationships with C-level executives critical
Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed
Able to travel up to 25% of the time based on demand and when it's safe to do so
