About the role
The Director of Sales role will be responsible for day to day sales execution and operations. This includes providing coaching and training for a team of Account Executives. This role will have direct responsibility for overseeing attainment of the company's quarterly sales targets and providing forecasting to leadership on a regular basis. Further this role will oversee implementation of a robust training program and ensure that the team is equipped with all of the tools and knowledge necessary for success. This is a player coach role and will include both managing sales cycles and having quota responsibility while also working with sales team members to ensure that they are achieving their goals, including quota attainment. We are a leader in a very exciting market category and this role will be key to our overall success. This role will report directly to the CEO.
Essential Functions

  • Collaborate and oversee a team of contributing Account Executive to ensure best execution on prospect engagement and deal management.
  • Meet regularly with Account Executives to talk through performance and provide guidance and training on best practices.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to implement a robust sales training program including both product knowledge, value selling, objection handling and basic deal management.
  • Oversee bi-quarterly forecasting and provide a regular forecast update to leadership.
  • Ensure that the sales team is fully equipped with the tools that they need to be successful including collaboration with marketing on optimization of our Hubspot implementation.
  • Work with leadership to define forward looking sales plans and revenue targets for products.
  • Oversee recruiting and hiring of additional Account Executives.
  • Responsibility for a pipeline and quota of enterprise and mid-tier deals.


Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills

  • 5 years of enterprise B2B software selling experience with demonstrated quota attainment.
  • Sales team management experience including responsibilities related to forecasting and sales plan execution.
  • Experience in eCommerce and supply chain software categories is preferred.
  • Experience with sales tools and methods including Challenger selling, MEDDIC, Hubspot or.
  • Salesforce as well as pipeline management and reporting.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Marketing and Client Success team to develop strategies for lead generation and engagement + cultivation of land and expand strategies.
