Inside Sales Representative, Upgrades

BigCommerce, named a 2020 "Best Place to Work" in Austin, is looking for an ambitious, organized, and personable professional to join our account sales team. In this role you will help fuel the sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying and cultivating current client upgrades, enabling BigCommerce’s mission to democratize commerce and change people’s lives through our software. You will also have the opportunity to cultivate skills that will allow you to pursue a career in full cycle sales.
What You Will Do
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities from our existing merchants
- Partner with peers to execute proactive sales plays and respond to inbound leads
- Manage a queue of Inbound upgrade referrals
- Exceed daily call volume metrics, calling into our current client base
- Draw on solutions selling techniques to build rapport, probe for needs, and recommend potential solutions to meet customer needs.
- Draw on knowledge of BigCommerce pricing structure to make recommendations to merchants on both retail and Enterprise plans
- Be an advocate for merchants who are a potential churn risk, drawing upon your consultative skills and internal network to resolve issues
- Provide a strong interdepartmental communication and ability to build and maintain relationships with other teams
- Consistently achieve monthly objectives and quotas.
- Practice good sales hygiene by maintaining a strong lead pipeline while managing daily scheduled calls by call router
- Follow the BigCommerce sales process and rules of engagement to provide an optimal prospect experience.
- Interact with current BigCommerce merchants across a variety of business categories, revenue volume, and platform use cases
- Contribute to continuous team improvements and business performance.
- Relay customer feedback to management to increase client satisfaction and conversion and drive overall sales improvements.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in internet technology and eCommerce.
- Other duties as assigned by finance, account services, or account sales
Who You Are
- 1+ years experience in a customer service or sales role
- Knowledge of the BigCommerce platform and plan feature benefits
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business or related field a plus

- Tech Savvy - You have a sound knowledge of and passion for the web and web-based software products as well as strong Internet, email, and electronic document management skills (Google Suite and MS Office). Experience with CRM tools, Salesforce.com preferred. A comprehensive understanding of the BigCommerce platform, basic understanding of competitive shopping carts, web hosting, email and online marketing tools a big plus.
