The Team
Canva for Enterprise is built for any team or organization that has a need to design at scale. We have seen success across different types of companies, including those in the Fortune 500, franchises, and startups. Teams within organizations that enjoy Canva for Enterprise come from diverse departments such as Marketing, Sales, and HR.
The core focus of our team is to showcase the power of Canva within recognisable Global Brands and Enterprise customers. Business owners are looking to move away from outdated systems and time-consuming design processes, and we aim to serve by empowering them with the ability to build better products and stories.
Role Mission
The mission of the Sales Development Representative is to generate leads via inbound and outbound efforts to fill our sales pipeline and help bring Canva for Enterprise to teams and businesses. This role must be based in our Austin, Texas office.
What you'll do:
- Inbound: convert viable inbound leads to sales opportunities by leading discovery calls and performing light qualification with prospects
- Outbound: collaborate with your assigned Account Executive on territory strategy, build lists of prospects who meet our target buyer personas, and execute outbound efforts using Outreach.io and Salesforce.com to engage prospective buyers
- Both: conduct opening calls with prospects to understand their current design process and challenges and uncover opportunities where Canva can help

What we're looking for:
- Experience: B2C and/or B2B customer service, lead generation, or inside sales
- Communication skills: stellar written and verbal communication skills, with a genuine curiosity and compassion to be used both internally with colleagues and externally with prospects
- Adaptability: tolerance/appetite for rapid change and evolution, resilience when it comes to ambiguity and change
- Creativity: whether email messaging, discovery questions, or process, we’re looking for creative thinkers to help improve our outcomes
- Hunger: for learning, collaborating, contributing, and improving both the business and yourself
- Integrity and trustworthiness
- Self-starter: proactive and motivated; excellent at managing your time and prioritizing your work
