Senior BaaS Sales Manager
The Senior Baas Sales Manager is responsible for developing net new direct business and co-managing net new pipeline generated with partners in the BaaS Program on the Q2 BaaS team. The primary focus will be on larger established fintech and AltFI brands looking to offer comprehensive banking services including savings accounts, spend accounts, and card programs.
This position can sit in Austin, TX or remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recognize and understand prospect needs via detailed discovery meetings
Quickly assess program maturity, potential upside, potential risk factors, and addressable market to determine viability and fit with Brands Program
Coordinate complex selling process with provider partners and prospects
Participate in marketing events and trade shows
Create, maintain, and deliver on strategic territory management plan
Create to lead and prospect opportunities to achieve sales targets
Prepare presentations and demonstrations of Q2 BaaS portfolio
Negotiate and close multi-party contracts in an established process
Understand and manage tangential impact of multiple financial variables inside a single deal
Maintain relationships with existing customers, prospects, and partner vendors
Prepare and manage sales pipelines and accurate forecast reports
REQUIREMENTS:
8+ years previous related financial technology sales experience, focusing on payments and card programs (prepaid, debit, credit)
Deep understanding of card issuance, fee structures, networks
Track record of consistently exceeding quotas
Understanding of, and successful experience with, complex sales process
Strong sales, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel; variable amounts that can exceed 60% at times
Ability to work from a home office, if applicable
Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment and communicate effectively up to executive level
