We are looking for a dynamic Sales Leader with a proven track record of success in a hyper-growth SaaS organization. This will be a win/win if you have demonstrated experience in 5 hallmark traits:
- Proven: Proven track record and a history of senior and/or executive Sales leadership with full P&L responsibility of $5M+, as well as:
- Successful track record scaling a high-growth B2B software business, ideally from $25M to $75M
- YoY growth of >50%
- Experience with SaaS recurring revenue models
- Excellence: Developed a customer-centric sales organization with standards of excellence and holding people accountable to achieving.
- Predictor: Ability to predict funnel performance several quarters out, while still being present in the moment of current revenue goals.
- Coach: Inspire direct and indirect teams to do just a little bit more than they thought possible; Constantly looking for ways to build up the team while tweaking it for maximum performance.
- Closer: Understand root causes, implement best practices, optimize processes to never lose selling time and overcome Client objections/roadblocks to close deals.
The Head of Sales will lead the sales team and help propel the company to its next stage of growth while working closely with other team members, peers and executives to achieve this growth. The primary functions of this position are to ensure execution for all revenue generation, predictable and repeatable sales, and winning opportunities through development of strong direct customer relationships at all levels of the target customer organizations. This includes the need for strong product knowledge, team management, and direct, indirect and channel sales activities.
The VP of Sales will exhibit strong executive presence, leadership, and sound business judgment with the ability to use influence and analysis to drive initiatives and create a path forward. This leader must be team-oriented and willing to collaborate extensively with the company’s leadership and management teams to formulate and execute strategies driving growth consistent with the mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
Critical responsibilities include:
- Drive Revenue: Achieve 2022 revenue plan; Work with the executive team to identify and establish new areas of growth and additional revenue opportunities while exploiting the existing opportunities.
- Win/Loss Analysis: Develop a method to reliably anticipate and understand market trends, customer issues and win/loss performance.
- Execution: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets while building a reputation for innovative sales strategies and techniques.
- Evangelize: Sell a mission-critical solution that customers love and that is vital to their operation.
- Land and Expand: Implement a well-executed plan to penetrate and expand share of wallet.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Partner with stakeholders to enhance and/or implement pipeline tools, tracking systems, dashboards and analytics/intelligence that enable the sales team to increase daily/monthly/annual revenue targets while also allowing for effective forecasting and KPI tracking. We are looking for predictive, problem-solving sales experts that can translate numbers to action.
- Sales Process Optimization: Create a sales engine by measuring and increasing the sales close rate through standardizing the selling process, training and sales rigor.
- Sales Training & Development: Recruit, hire, develop, and mentor an incredible sales team through training, coaching, promotions, rewards, recognition, and performance management. Continuously improving the team to reflect the needs of the go-to market strategy and skill-enhancing programs (sourcing, targeting, presenting, closing, etc.).
- P&L: Manage a P&L to favorable CAC/CLTV targets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effective interface with external investors and financial stakeholders.
- The all important, other duties as assigned, which include: Developing sales incentive strategies, sales enablement and collateral and more.

- Executive Leadership: Lead the rapidly scaling organization while executing with good judgment, processes, and data-driven decision-making. Create the best Sales team for a scaling SaaS platform, with the right mix of industry experience, and fluency of the customer problem. Build (and manage) a team that balances the tone of a professional company with the move-fast-and-execute tone of a rapidly growing eCommerce company. Everyone on the Sales team should be working at the Company for the same reason – to create the dominant eCommerce platform for Creators.
- Velocity & Solution Consultative Sales: Must bring a career’s worth of high-velocity transaction sales experience (SMB) as well as solutions sales experience (target market / Named customers). Our growth will be unlocked by someone who can continue to scale the velocity flywheel and add a consultative sales model that understands their businesses and barriers/obstacles to change and leveraging that relationship and analysis to close deals.
- Culture: Foster a culture of shared ownership and push the work to the front lines. Don’t ask anyone to do anything you would not be willing to do. Focus on collaboration, speed, learning, scalability, and excellence between functional and departmental goals. - Allocate: Support and allocate resources for an effective organizational structure that balances process, accountability and scalability with product velocity and innovation as the Company continues to scale.
- Strategize: Develop the Sales strategy and be held accountable for maintaining enough resources (time, people, money) to achieve the growth targets set for the Company.
- Prepare: Be at the forefront of the latest trends and resources for the Company, while balancing scalability and stability.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years software experience leading sales and 5+ years in management position and/or sales leadership role(s).
- Proven record of driving >50%+ YOY bookings growth.
- Experience managing a team of 25 or more.
- Experience with growth investor backed businesses, with startup and VC/growth-equity backed companies required.
- Track record of disrupting and disintermediating existing relationships with mainstream/pure players through a novel approach to solving customer problems, in ways customers have not traditionally considered.
- Grew sales organization that scaled a SaaS business from $25-50 million revenue range to $75-100+ million revenue.
- Experience with software, SaaS businesses of $50-$150 million in revenue and high growth both organically and acquisitively.
- Proven, successful track record of navigating across functional areas to deliver profitable sales and top line growth.
- Has worked in a fast growing and changing environment going through different growth stages.
- Time spent in a private equity backed business is strongly preferred, if not required.
- Demonstrated record of success in a goal oriented, highly accountable, sales environment
