Responsible for SAP system installation, monitoring, and upgrades. Ensures optimal SAP configuration and works with vendors. Requires strong problem-solving skills and experience administering SAP systems, including HANA and MS SQL.
This is a remote position.
Position Responsibilities:
- Applies standard SAP principles, concepts and techniques in system installation, monitoring, performance tuning and system management
- Demonstrates excellent strategic planning balanced with tactical firefighting on complex system structures
- Analyze, design and champion system solutions and upgrades to SAP systems
- Introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each SAP instance
- Design and implement an optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability in collaboration with hosted provider
- Guide hosted provider in installations and configurations of all required SAP database servers and application servers
- Identifying, defining, documenting, and solving problems or situations that require attention or improvement
- Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces
- Locating, collecting, and organizing information that enhances the understanding of a problem or situation and that facilitates effective communication of it to others at all levels
- Installs of various SAP systems on MSSQL and Hana in AWS and in plant datacenters
- SSO knowledge in SAML, LDAP, Kerberos/SPNego
- Work with Vendors, Service Providers and project teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field or comparable work experience and technical training
- 5+ years of experience in a SAP Basis role or comparable discipline
- SAP Basis Management for S4, BW, GRC and PI/PO in addition to Solution Manager w/ CHarM
- Experience in other SAP module administration; GTS, APO, Trex, MII, etc.
- Experience in HANA and MS SQL database management
- Experience administering S/4 HANA preferred
- Experience with Netweaver Java
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
- Some travel may be required ~25%
