The SAP BTP Developer will design and support applications on SAP BTP, develop APIs, manage integrations, ensure security, and collaborate with teams.

Role SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on SAP BTP Developer to design, build, and support applications and integrations on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role focuses on developing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using BTP services, Integration Suite, and extension frameworks to support SAP S/4HANA and enterprise integrations.
The ideal candidate will work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to implement BTP solutions, build APIs and integrations, manage deployments, and ensure adherence to platform standards, security, and governance.
BTP Application Development
- Develop and deploy applications on SAP BTP using services like CAP, Cloud Foundry, and Kyma
- Build extensions for SAP S/4HANA using side-by-side and event-driven architectures
- Implement reusable components and follow best practices for scalable BTP development
- Design and develop iFlows, APIs, and integrations using SAP Integration Suite
- Implement integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems (e.g., third-party platforms)
- Handle data transformations, routing, error handling, and retry mechanisms
- Build reusable integration components and templates
- Develop and expose APIs using REST/OData services
- Configure and consume destinations and connectivity services within BTP
- Ensure secure and efficient communication between systems
- Work with SAP HANA Cloud and other data services for application persistence
- Implement data models, queries, and data transformations
- Support data integration and movement across systems
- Implement authentication and authorization using BTP services (XSUAA, IAS, etc.)
- Configure roles, scopes, and access controls as per defined standards
- Ensure secure handling of credentials, certificates, and service keys
- Manage code repositories, branching, and version control (Git)
- Deploy applications across DEV, QA, and PROD environments
- Support transport and promotion of artifacts following CI/CD practices
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for automated deployments
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using BTP tools
- Support incident resolution, debugging, and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Ensure applications are production-ready and supportable
- Work closely with architects to follow BTP standards and design patterns
- Collaborate with Basis, security, and integration teams
- Ensure adherence to enterprise governance, security, and compliance requirements
