CSCI Consulting is looking for a Senior SAP Funds Management Consultant to support our Federal client. In this role, the consultant will support the consolidation of four SAP ECC systems into a single composable ERP platform and migrate Public Sector Finance capabilities into a new SAP S/4HANA environment, with a focus on Funds Management (FM) functionality and integration with core financial modules.
Responsibilities- Serve as a subject matter expert in SAP Public Sector Finance, with deep expertise in the Funds Management (FM) module
- Gather business requirements and design functional solutions to support migration and modernization objectives
- Configure and support FM structures, including Fund, Funds Center, and Commitment Item, to enable detailed budget tracking and control
- Ensure integration of Funds Management with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Accounting
- Facilitate collaboration with technical teams to ensure system solutions align with functional requirements
- Support ECC to S/4HANA migration activities using industry-standard tools such as SNP CrystalBridge or SAP DMLT
- Develop test strategies and manage large, complex testing efforts, including validation of financial data and business processes
- Perform business process design, system analysis, and functional documentation
- Coordinate across architects, developers, BASIS, middleware, portal teams, and business analysts to ensure successful delivery
- Support maintenance, enhancement, and development of SAP modules, including integrations with external applications
- Provide leadership in budgeting, staffing forecasts, and work planning activities
- Manage and mentor junior team members, providing training and functional guidance
- 7+ years of SAP ECC Finance experience
- Demonstrated expertise in SAP Funds Management and Public Sector financial processes
- Experience with configuration and budget structure design within FM
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence
- Experience with SAP Public Sector Finance / Funds Management and S/4HANA
- Experience supporting ECC-to-S/4HANA migration projects using tools such as SNP CrystalBridge or SAP DMLT
- Team lead or supervisory experience
- Relevant SAP certifications
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a Federal agency
- Department of War, etc. experience is a plus!
