Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented market risk analyst to join Leader Bank's Risk Management team. This position will support the Securities-Based Lending (SBL) business; however, candidates may be tasked with additional responsibilities, as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets and products, collateral valuation, and risk modeling.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor active SBL lines of credit and the pledged collateral portfolios
  • Monitor financial markets to identify risks and trends and assess the bank's exposure to micro and macro market movements
  • Mitigate market risk by proactively managing advance and maintenance rates on pledged securities
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to manage collateral calls and ensure timely resolution
  • Develop and maintain risk models to support decision making
  • Prepare risk reports
  • Assist in the periodic review and update of policies and procedures

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management or financial analysis in securities-based lending or equivalent industries
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and products, margin lending, and collateral valuation, including options and derivatives
  • Proficiency in risk modeling and data analytics, including stress testing of investment portfolios and modeling of options & derivatives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with risk management tools (e.g., Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, Moody's Risk Analysis, etc.) preferred
  • Expert understanding of securities-based lending risk policies and best practices in the financial industry preferred
  • Expert understanding of unique investments such as options and derivatives, including valuation and risk management preferred

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Leader Bank salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
Salary Minimum: $96,000.00 - Salary Max: $115,00.00
The range listed is just one component of Leader Bank's total compensation package for team members. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, commissions, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Leader Bank provides a variety of benefits to eligible team members, including health insurance coverage, a team member wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off and vacation.
