Envision Education seeks a School Psychologist for our Bay Area Middle and High Schools.
In addition to the salary range, this opportunity may include a $5,000 signing bonus, an annual $5,000 School Psychologist supplement, and for SF employees a $5,000 CAL supplement.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Associate/Director of Special Education, the School Psychologist partners with school teams, families, and the network to empower first-generation college-bound students through inclusive, equity-driven and culturally responsive mental health and special education services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts individual and group evaluations
  • Provides guidance and assistance to students with learning, behavior and/or adjustment problems
  • Provides support in developing appropriate individual and/or group programs of instruction and treatment of learning disabilities, including performing FBA's and developing BIP's
  • Assists in systematically re-assessing children with special educational needs as appropriate
  • Provides in-service training in learning, child development and child management to parents, teachers, administrators and other professionals and paraprofessionals in assigned schools
  • Provides consultation and advisement to administrators, teachers, and parents regarding the general and special educational programs, as appropriate
  • Coordinates, communicates with and seeks consultation with community agencies, as appropriate
  • Coordinate services with mental health counselors and supervise interns
  • Provide individualized services in a full-inclusion model

LOCATION

San Francisco Bay Area office located in Oakland, with frequent required travel to school sites in Hayward, San Francisco, and Oakland.

This role requires 3 days per week in person on school sites or in the support office and 2 days per week in the support office or where you work best.  This is not a remote or hybrid role.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Schools and office work environment with direct involvement in ongoing conversation and shared office space.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged Sitting & Stationary Work: Ability to remain seated at a desk or in a meeting for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Keyboarding & Dexterity: Frequent, continuous use of hands and fingers to type on a computer keyboard, operate a mouse, and handle documents.
  • Visual Acuity: Ability to read dense printed texts, documents, reports, and computer screens for extended periods.
  • Vocal & Hearing Stamina: Clear verbal communication, including the ability to speak clearly in meetings and on video/phone calls. Requires strong listening skills to comprehend stakeholder input and engage in collaborative projects. 
  • Physical Mobility: Ability to walk between offices; stand for short periods; occasionally bend, stoop, or lift light boxes to transport files and other supplies.
  • Travel Endurance: Ability to travel via car or public transit between Support Office, school sites, and off-site meeting locations.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Master's Degree or higher in related field
  • Required: PPS credential in School Psychology (or ability to transfer out-of-state credential)
  • Preferred: 3+ years of successful school psychology and special education experience
  • Experience working successfully with parents and families, especially African American, Latine/a/o/x, and immigrant families
  • Spanish fluency preferred
  • Receptiveness to feedback and desire to continuously improve to meet outcomes.
  • Once hired, continuous current California residency.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The salary range for this role is $94,803 - $146,187 and is dependent upon years of aligned experience and credentials. 

In addition to the salary range above, this opportunity may include a $5,000 signing bonus, an annual $5,000 School Psychologist supplement, and for SF employees a $5,000 CAL supplement.

If you are offered this position, your hourly pay rate will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, Envision Education complies with applicable pay equity laws and considers internal equity among current employees when developing the final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the base range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.  We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
