Job Responsibilities
- Facilitates and coordinates Agile Scrum processes within the company by leading daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies to ensure efficient and effective collaboration
- Guides and coaches the team on Agile Scrum principles and practices
- Ensures the team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality products by guiding front end developers, and ensuring they have the resources and information need to deliver high-quality interfaces
- Works with the Product Developer to prioritize the product backlog
- Facilitates Scrum ceremonies, such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective
- Removes roadblocks by Identifying and troubleshooting obstacles that are hindering the team’s progress
- Promotes continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions
- Communicates project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders
- Tracks project milestones, deliverables, and timelines, providing regular updates to stakeholders and ensuring transparency throughout the development process; utilizes Agile tools for tracking and reporting
- Tracks KPIs and helps teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time
- Ensures that the team follows the Scrum framework and adheres to Agile principles
- Liaises with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and priorities; facilitates Scrum of Scrum forums with other teams to ensure progress, resolve impediments, and manage dependencies
- Advocates for user feedback to drive product enhancements and ensure a customer-centric approach to development
- Provides project management support including scheduling, scoping, budget management, status reporting, and risk and issue management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is ideal
- 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master is ideal
- Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP) is required
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification and Kanban certifications are a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira, ClickUp, Confluence, or Trello is ideal
- Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required
- Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies is required
- General conceptual understanding of programming and DB querying is required
