ParentSquare is a rapidly growing Santa Barbara-based company that’s changing the way schools and parents communicate every day. Sound simple? We strive to keep it that way! Our mission is to give schools the power to incredibly enhance family engagement for all students. ParentSquare and RemindHub, our flagship products, serve over 22 million students and drive our mission by providing unified communications tools -forms, sign ups, payments, RSVPs, direct messaging, language translations, chat and more. Remind Chat, our free product, reaches over 80% of K-12 students, providing a safe and easy-to-use platform for direct communication between teachers and families. And our latest innovation, SmartSites, offers state-of-the-art websites for school districts, enhancing their online presence and accessibility.

We are not just creating a product; we are creating empowered educators and engaged parents to improve the lives of all students.  We are passionate advocates for our  customers and for our employees and we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.

Who we’re looking for:

Every district that relies on ParentSquare today started with a single conversation. Often, that first conversation is with our SDR team: a superintendent who downloaded a guide, a principal who stopped by our conference booth, a tech director tired of juggling five tools just to reach families.

ParentSquare is seeking a Sales Development Representative to make that first conversation count, turning inbound interest and outbound outreach into qualified pipeline for our Inside, Field, and Enterprise Sales teams. It's a high-activity, metrics-driven role (30–50 outbound calls a day and at least 5 booked demos a week), and it's built as a launchpad: you'll get structured coaching, see the full sales cycle up close, and work toward running deals yourself. Your work shows up directly in the pipeline that grows this company.

Above all, you'll bring our two permissions to play:

  • Humility. We're heads-down builders who'd rather let the work speak. You stay curious, take coaching to heart, and celebrate the team's wins as much as your own.
  • Passion for our mission. We care about students and the schools that serve them. Every demo you book could be a district that ends up reaching every family, in their language, on the device they actually use.

This role will include:

  • Make 30–50 outbound prospecting calls daily, plus targeted email outreach, to open conversations with new school and district accounts.
  • Book at least 5 qualified demos per week and contribute measurably to pipeline growth.
  • Respond to inbound leads from our website, conferences, email campaigns, and webinars within set response timelines.
  • Qualify marketing leads into sales-qualified opportunities using a consultative, solution-selling approach.
  • Hand off qualified opportunities cleanly to our Inside, Field, and Enterprise Sales teams.
  • Keep HubSpot current with accurate lead, contact, and activity information.
  • Learn to clearly communicate ParentSquare's value to first-contact decision makers and deliver a scripted product demo.
  • Meet or exceed activity and pipeline metrics set by Sales Leadership, and report on the leads you develop.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 1+ year in an outbound, quota- or metrics-driven role — SDR/BDR, inside sales, recruiting, or high-volume customer-facing work.
  • Comfort with high-volume cold calling and handling rejection without losing momentum.
  • Clear, confident phone and written communication with a range of audiences.
  • Strong organization and follow-through: you set tasks, manage your pipeline, and complete work on time.
  • Experience working in a CRM and keeping records accurate.
  • Curiosity and coachability — you seek feedback and apply it quickly.

Bonus points for:

  • HubSpot experience.
  • Experience selling to or working in K-12 schools or districts.
  • Familiarity with solution-selling or consultative sales methods.
The perks of working for us are great!

At ParentSquare, we believe in winning together and building a product that truly serves schools, educators, and families. We value transparency, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial spirit, and we look for team members who share these values. You'll have the opportunity to launch your sales career with structured mentorship and a clear path to a closing role, influence a fast-growing company, and make a meaningful impact on K-12 education.

The perks of working for us are great! You'll get your foot in the door as our company continues to grow. We're big believers in work-life balance and provide:

  • Employer-paid health insurance (including dependent coverage)
  • An employer-matched 401K retirement savings program from day 1
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Stock options
  • Health + wellness reimbursements
  • Generous PTO
  • 15 paid holidays, including your birthday!

As a fully remote team, we'll make sure you have all the tools and equipment you need to make your home office a place where you can thrive.

We're an equal-opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.

The salary range for this role will be $19-$23/hour plus commissions, DOE.
