Job Summary:
This position will help optimize the hedging, pricing, sale, and management of mortgage loans in the secondary market.  By analyzing market trends, investor demands, regulatory compliance, and loan characteristics, you will help assist in mitigating risks associated with interest rate risk movement, while helping to ensure the maximum profitable return.  This role will also support Lock Desk functions for clients.

Location: Remote (candidates must currently reside in the Pacific Time Zone)

Responsibilities:
•  Balance mortgage pipeline exposure through the efficient execution of TBA MBS trading to offset the interest rate risk associated with hedging a mortgage pipeline.
•  Collaborate with clients to align loan sales strategies. Execute loans sales while utilizing a best-execution strategy.
•  Regularly review, scrub, and analyze the mortgage pipeline at a loan level to ensure maximum profitability from a pipeline level.
•  Stay updated on secondary market trends, interest rate movements, and economic indicators that affect mortgage-backed securities (MBS) pricing. Adjust strategy as demand permits.
•  Provide detailed reporting and analysis on loan sales, interest rate risk, profitability, hedge strategies, and investor activity.
•  Executing Lock Desk responsibilities for clients.

Qualifications:
•  1-2 years of experience in secondary marketing exposure and interest rate risk.
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excel knowledge, SQL experience, and financial modeling preferred.
•  Understanding of the secondary market, loan sales, MBS structuring, and investor behavior.

•  Attention to detail is critical. Ability to analyze large sets of data and maintain accuracy in reporting and analysis.

•  None. Determination to produce best possible results for clients while working in peak team cohesion is the baseline of expectation.
