We are looking for a Senior Accountant to help us scale our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of our reporting. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in our success.

Reporting to the Controller, you will own key aspects of the month-end close cycle and be crucial in maintaining clean and reliable financial records; helping us ensure that our financial data is timely, compliant, and supports strategic decision-making. You’ll be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting operations, executing month-end close, maintaining existing accounting tools, integrating new billing and expense tools, and executing new processes and controls. You’ve hustled, you’ve created, you’ve implemented, and you love the intensity of a startup in high-growth mode.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $140,000 depending on geography and level of experience, plus equity and an annual bonus.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Own the Accounts Payable process and manage vendor relations for timely and accurate payments, along with employee expense reimbursement process and manage employee relations for timely and accurate reimbursements. 
  • Execute on the month end close process, presenting key findings, ensuring deadlines are met and accounts are accurately reconciled.
  • Ownership of accounting processes for prepaid amortization, operating expense recognition, ASC 842 lease accounting, and related system workflows.
  • Help build scalable and efficient accounting processes and internal controls to support our rapid growth.
  • Regularly collaborate with Marketing, Sales and other Departments to facilitate virtual cards for various spend and to ensure seamless financial data flow and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and post journal entries for various general ledger accounts during month end close, along with flux analysis.
  • Update and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all reconciling items are resolved quickly.
  • Support the annual Audit, 409A, and Tax preparation processes.
  • Manage the 1099 Tax reporting process.
  • Serve as backup for the Billing process, ensuring invoices are generated accurately and promptly when needed.
  • Ad hoc projects as they arise.

  • You bring a rich background of GAAP accounting principals, operational execution, and working within a fast-paced environment. We hope to see from you:
    • Strong skills working with General Ledger systems, AP Automation software, and intermediate Excel skills for analysis and reconciliations.
    • Huge plus for NetSuite and Ramp experience.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting assurance/audit and/or internal accounting in healthcare or technology companies preferred. 
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA Eligible is highly preferred
  • Experience in all phases of the month-end close cycle and strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Have a strong sense of ownership in your work and can problem solve proactively.
  • Track record in getting your hands dirty, successfully managing projects and pivoting to new priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to communicate issues clearly and concisely.
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful — As an early member of a startup, we need people who can find creative ways to make a big impact quickly and without much direction.
  • Experience handling deadlines, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for collaborating cross-functionally with sales, operations, client success, data, and product teams to ideate, complete projects, and drive impactful results.
