A Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing and analyzing a company’s financial information. This position ensures accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supports leadership with financial insights that guide business decisions.

Responsibilities
    •    Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
    •    Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
    •    Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries to maintain accurate records.
    •    Analyze financial data, identify trends, and prepare detailed reports for management.
    •    Monitor budgeting and forecasting activities, providing recommendations for cost control and financial efficiency.
    •    Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
    •    Review and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
    •    Support tax preparation activities, including gathering data and confirming required filings.
    •    Collaborate with department heads on financial processes, spending reports, and budget adherence.
    •    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.

Requirements
    •    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    •    Several years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end closing and financial reporting.
    •    Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
    •    Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
    •    Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
    •    Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
    •    Good communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly.
