Cordance is dedicated to accelerating the growth of vertically focused business-to-business (B2B) software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies through acquisition and long-term tactical and financial guidance. We’re experienced operators and subject-matter experts with a passion for software and building businesses. We partner with founders to help them scale their businesses and realize their companies’ full potential.
We look for businesses with strong leadership and high potential for profitable growth, and work together to increase year-over-year revenue, company efficiency, and impact. Cordance envisions that all companies we work with achieve their full potential. We embrace what makes each company great and build on those foundations. We believe in elevating a company as it scales, delivering dignity to the organization and its employees, and sharing a passion for building a legacy.
As a Senior Accountant at Cordance, you’ll play a central role in the month-end close, consolidated financial reporting, and technical accounting across a multi-entity, multi-currency portfolio. You’ll work in NetSuite, Solution7, and Avalara, and partner closely with finance, payroll, and business unit teams. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across the accounting function and clear room to grow.
What You’ll Do
- Own month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and consolidated reporting across multiple entities and currencies.
- Assist with financial statements, cash flow statements, cash forecasts, and management reports.
- Assist with intercompany accounting, including eliminations, allocations, and transfer pricing entries across entities.
- Maintain fixed asset and lease schedules and the related accounting under ASC 842, along with goodwill and intangible amortization.
- Oversee debt and interest accounting, management fees, and related-party transactions.
- Support technical accounting and documentation, including revenue under ASC 606, leases under ASC 842, and acquisition accounting under ASC 805.
- Drive process improvements and automation within NetSuite and the broader accounting tech stack.
- Provide reconciliation support to the Accounts Receivable team and respond to ad hoc requests from leadership.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity or SaaS environments.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite; Solution7 and Avalara a plus.
- Strong command of US GAAP, consolidations, and financial reporting, including ASC 606; exposure to ASC 842 and ASC 805 a plus.
- Comfort working across multiple entities and currencies.
- Excellent communication skills across finance and business teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus, not a requirement: experience with inventory accounting in the NetSuite Inventory module.
Please note that we do not accept unsolicited resumes, work on a Corp-to-Corp basis, or engage with non-vetted external agencies.
