Own Marketplace advertising campaigns from inventory booking through launch, delivery, pacing, QA, and post-campaign review. Build campaigns in the internal CMS and Braze, create collection pages from design specifications, configure A/B tests, monitor budgets and performance, coordinate seasonal timelines across cross-functional teams, maintain documentation, and improve campaign tooling. The role requires strong operations, communication, prioritization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Propel builds technology that strengthens the social safety net in America. We envision a future where every American has the tools and resources they need to thrive.

The safety net’s strength depends not just on funding, but delivery. Propel exists to dramatically improve how government benefits are delivered. Managing SNAP benefits, picking a D-SNP plan, or protecting against EBT theft should feel as seamless as Apple Pay or Netflix.

Governments struggle to build modern, scalable user experiences. We don’t.

Over 5 million Americans trust Propel today. We’ve grown revenue 35% YoY and are reinventing entire benefit categories, including Medicare, around the real needs of low-income Americans. We’re building a high-growth, high-ceiling, sustainable for-profit company where impact drives revenue.

The Role

We launched the Propel Marketplace to connect our ~5M monthly active users to products, services, and exclusive offers from leading brands across retail, healthcare, and financial services. It has grown into a powerful, industry-leading performance tool for our partners and a critical revenue driver for Propel.

We’re looking for a Senior Ad Operations Specialist to own how Marketplace campaigns are booked, built, launched, and delivered. That includes owning campaigns in one of our business verticals, seasonal campaigns for partners, and self-serve campaigns we’re starting to launch. You’ll report to our Ad Ops Manager and work closely with Customer Success, Business Development, Growth and Merchandising, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.

What makes this role different

You’ll own campaigns from the moment inventory is booked to the day the budget fully delivers. The campaigns vary a lot. One is a partner launch in your vertical, another is a push to millions of users, another is a seasonal collection page you build from a Figma spec. The goal is the same each time: get it live on time and make sure it delivers. Most weeks center on your vertical and self-serve campaigns. During seasonal build windows, more of your time goes to seasonal campaigns.

What you'll do
  • Own the inventory booking tool our teams use to book placements. Field requests outside the self-serve flow, flag utilization gaps, and add new campaign levers as they launch.

  • Build campaigns in our internal CMS and Braze, whether they’re partner campaigns in your vertical, self-serve, or seasonal. That includes collection pages and entry points from design specs, and A/B test setup.

  • Get campaigns live. Clean QA copy, links, tags and budgets, and for seasonal campaigns, run the timeline across Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.

  • Make sure campaigns are delivering impact. Monitor pacing, flag risk early to CSMs and BD, and work with Insights on tests and budget shifts.

  • Make the next campaign easier to ship. Run post-campaign reviews, keep documentation current, and use our AI tools to ship fixes to the booking tool and calendar.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, such as program management, project management, business operations or marketplace operations. Our tools and platform work differently from most ad platforms, so strong operations experience matters more

  • Brings hustle and enthusiasm, and cares about getting details right

  • Actively uses AI tools in your daily work and is comfortable with vibe coding fixes

  • Experience learning new tools fast and teaching others

  • A record of owning projects end to end with little supervision, and of bringing problems to your team with a proposed fix

  • Clear, timely and proactive communication with technical and non-technical partners, and the ability to run a cross-functional timeline and keep partners on track

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a knack for catching small errors before they become problems

  • Skilled at prioritizing across multiple campaigns and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable in Google Sheets and HTML, and able to pick up new patterns from examples

  • Experience with A/B testing is a plus

  • Experience at a startup or in a lean, cross-functional environment

We offer
  • An immediate opportunity to make an impact on our users and the business we're building

  • A get-stuff-done culture that is also fun and caring

  • Work that really is helping people with meaningful challenges

  • Remote-friendly work environment with a dog-friendly office in Downtown Brooklyn. The team meets in-person for optional retreats.

  • 20 Days of PTO

  • 4% 401K match

  • $10k lifetime spend towards Carrot Fertility

  • Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision options

  • Propel believes that everyone should be compensated fairly and equitably. We set our salary ranges using compensation data from hundreds of NYC based startups at our stage. Additional considerations
  • We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team, and welcome applicants from all backgrounds and abilities.

  • Interview Accommodations: Propel is committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the interview process. If you need accommodations due to a disability or medical condition (such as additional time or accessibility support), please let us know as early as possible so we can support you appropriately.
