The Agile Lead is a pivotal role in the successful development, delivery, and implementation of Smile’s healthcare interoperability platform to customers. As a strategic facilitator, systems thinker, and change agent in this role, the Agile Lead will have a deep understanding of agile and lean methodologies, practices and frameworks that will enable teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently and responsively.
Primary Functions
- Collaborate on the evolution of the product delivery framework which supports repeatable and scalable delivery patterns.
- Facilitate and champion agile frameworks, methodologies, practices and processes for cross-functional technical implementation teams.
- Provide coaching, development and facilitation of continuous improvement methods and practices.
- Support roadmap alignment and decomposition of initiatives.
- Support and facilitate cross-team synchronization using agile methods and rituals, primarily with Cloud Services, Implementations Development, and Technical Implementation.
- Promote a mindset focused on value delivery, continuous learning, and adaptability.
- Coach in the understanding and optimization of the flow of value, including a focus on reducing delays, improving handoffs and dependency management.
- Guide teams in capacity-based planning, using tools and methods that support sustainable delivery.
- Facilitate the removal of impediments and blockers proactively to maintain project momentum and productivity.
- Educate and coach teams and the broader organization on agile mindsets, practices, and frameworks through workshops and training sessions.
- Accountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported in Netsuite on a daily or weekly basis, that the majority of (if not all) hours are tracked as billable and that the project management tool in Netsuite is properly and fully utilized.
- Tracking and reporting of billable hours is a critical aspect of project management and delivery to our customers and this is a major area of accountability.
- Comply with the privacy, security and confidentiality policies.
Prerequisites
- 7+ years of experience in Agile delivery, with a focus on driving value in technical or software implementation environments
- Active agile practitioner certification (CSM, A-CSM, PSM, etc.)
- Experience facilitating development and delivery involving cloud infrastructure builds, platform implementations, and custom software development.
- In-depth understanding of modern cloud infrastructure concepts (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) and familiarity with software deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams in complex implementation scenarios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams in delivering high-impact solutions in dynamic, customer-facing environments.
- Healthcare technology experience or familiarity with healthcare interoperability (FHIR standards, clinical integration, EHRs), preferred.
