Lead AI-assisted software engineering across the SDLC, design and implement large-scale C#/.NET microservices, deploy LLMs and ML models to production, modernize legacy systems to cloud-native architectures, work with containers, CI/CD and databases (MongoDB/Aerospike/Postgres), and mentor engineers while establishing AI-assisted development practices and documentation.
Overview
Inabia is seeking a Senior AI .NET Developer/Engineer to play a key leadership role in a significant technical transformation of Broker-Dealer Systems and the modernization of our core technology infrastructure. This position sits at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and complex financial domains, building intelligent systems that directly impact the retirement security of millions of people. The ideal candidate will lead AI-focused engineering workflows across the full Software Development Life Cycle while collaborating closely with architects, fellow developers, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI-assisted engineering workflows across the SDLC, including implementation, refactoring, unit testing, regression support, code reviews, scripting/automation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Apply GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to reduce context switching and accelerate delivery across day-to-day development workflows.
- Establish and champion team-level practices for AI-assisted development, including agentic workflows, spec-driven development, custom instructions, and prompt engineering.
- Translate low-level design artifacts—class structures, API contracts, and data models—into structured specs that guide AI-assisted implementation.
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, high-volume, mission-critical software using C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, and Web Services/APIs.
- Architect and deploy containerized microservices on cloud platforms (PCF, AWS, or GCP) using CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and deploy AI/ML models and Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, PaLM) into production environments.
- Drive IT transformation and system modernization initiatives, migrating legacy platforms (e.g., Mainframe COBOL/DB2) to distributed, cloud-native architectures.
- Work with databases including MongoDB, Aerospike, and/or PostgreSQL to support high-availability applications.
- Communicate technical direction clearly and mentor fellow engineers in a collaborative, execution-focused environment.
Key Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience actively developing large-scale applications using C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, cloud-native development, and Web Services/APIs in high-volume, mission-critical environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML implementation and production deployment.
- 6+ years of experience with containers and microservices in cloud environments.
- 6+ years of experience in cloud deployment using CI/CD models.
- 2+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), AWS, or GCP.
- 2+ years of experience with MongoDB, Aerospike, and/or PostgreSQL.
- 2+ years of experience in IT transformation and system modernization from legacy to distributed platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, PaLM).
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with GenAI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) integrated into IDE/CLI-style workflows.
- Working knowledge of agentic workflows, spec-driven development, and prompt engineering.
- Understanding of broker-dealer capabilities and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to lead and guide engineers in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Prior experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD), QA automation, and quality-focused engineering practices.
- Proficiency in developing Visio diagrams, architectural and design documentation, and functional and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology with experience working in Agile environments.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA and Confluence).
