We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate, Assurance to join our growing Assurance team. This role is ideal for an experienced public accounting professional who enjoys leading engagements, mentoring staff, and building strong client relationships while delivering exceptional audit and assurance services.

As a Senior Associate, Assurance, you will play a key role in executing and leading audit, review, and compilation engagements for a diverse client base. You will collaborate closely with Managers and Directors to deliver high-quality client service, manage multiple engagements, and support the development of junior team members.

This position offers the opportunity to expand your technical expertise, contribute to process improvements, and grow within a collaborative and performance-driven professional services environment.

What you’ll do at SN: Audit & Assurance Engagements
  • Lead and execute audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion
  • Perform risk assessments and tailor audit approaches based on client operations and industry considerations
  • Conduct substantive testing of financial transactions, internal controls, and account balances
  • Ensure financial statements and supporting documentation comply with applicable accounting and auditing standards
Client Service & Collaboration
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients
  • Communicate engagement progress, findings, and recommendations clearly and proactively
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and firm leadership to deliver exceptional client experiences
  • Identify opportunities for operational and financial process improvements
Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • Review workpapers and provide constructive feedback to junior staff
  • Mentor and support the professional development of Assurance team members
  • Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture
Engagement Management
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
  • Coordinate effectively with Managers and Directors regarding engagement status, risks, and resource needs
  • Maintain accurate engagement documentation and timekeeping records
Professional Development
  • Stay current on evolving GAAP, auditing standards, and industry trends
  • Apply technical knowledge and share insights with the broader Assurance team
  • Utilize audit software, Excel, and data analytics tools to improve engagement efficiency and quality
What you may have done before:
  • Worked successfully in a fully remote environment
  • Worked within the Assurance Practice of a leading professional service firm
What it takes to be a Senior Associate, Assurance: Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience focused on audit, review, and compilation engagements
  • Employee Benefit Plan audit experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and auditing standards
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure
  • Experience working with clients in AEC, Manufacturing, or related industries
  • Experience with audit software, data analytics tools, and/or CCH Engagements

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $75,000 - $85,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
