Senior Atlassian Engineer

As a Senior Atlassian Engineer, you are a key member of a growing and challenging Product Engineering organization. You are responsible for the upkeep and well-being of the NinjaOne Atlassian's Suite and help define standards and best practices for using this set of tools.
You excel at collaborating across multiple teams to ensure that our platform is up and running for our clients and prioritize communicating project updates to stakeholders. Through your technical leadership and guidance, you will help streamline our Atlassian services and enable our developers to continue to innovate.

Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states - CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, *IL, KS, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, and WA. We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL, if you prefer a hybrid option.
What You'll be Doing

• Develop, maintain and improve Atlassian tools to support NinjaOne development teams
• Establish frameworks, templates and documentation standards for Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
• Provide technical leadership and mentor other members of the software engineering on Atlassian JIRA and Confluence usage best practices
• Build scripts, tools and services to improve developer experience in the Atlassian Suite
• Define processes and standards to improve operational efficiency and ensure security compliance.
• Communicate status, risk and impact of leadership for projects and initiatives.
• Provide technical escalation points for production support during normal business and after-hours.
• Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering Leadership to derive usage data and DORA metrics from our Atlassian Suite
• Troubleshooting user and system-level issues and deliver scalable and timely solutions, as well as develop and maintain documentation and end-user training materials
• Other duties as needed

About You

• Bachelor's degree in technology- preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of experience working in a cloud-based Atlassian products
• Previous experience with Infrastructure Code technologies such as AWS Cloud Formation, CDK, Ansible, Terraform, and scripting.
• Experience in agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, etc.), version control systems (Git, BitBucket), and deployment strategies that support both iterative and continuous development.
• Proven technical expertise integrating Jira applications with enterprise platforms like OKTA, Slack, etc., through a mix of API and integration tools
• Experience with providing user management, access roles and permissioning, global and project-level configuration and maintenance, training, and end-user support for JIRA
• Proficiency with Python, Bash or shell scripting
• Experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.

*Due to operational policies, NinjaOne is unable to hire for this role within the city limits of Chicago. We will consider all qualified candidates who reside outside of the city proper or are willing to self-relocate.
Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For roles based in California, Colorado, or Washington the base salary hiring range for this position is $80,000 to $130,000 per year.
For roles based in New York, the base salary hiring range for this position is $80,000 to $130,000 per year.
