The Cvent Technologist is a highly skilled, client‑facing expert in Cvent event technology. They build and lead sophisticated Cvent registration experiences, coordinate attendee data and communications.

This person is organized, proactive, and confident with clients; they use technology to streamline workflows and build registration systems that balance excellent attendee experience with operational accuracy. They uphold all client standards for compliance, branding, data quality, and communication.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on Cvent configuration, site architecture, attendee paths, and data strategy. Lead discovery discussions to determine event goals and recommend the optimal build approach.

  • Provide clear, confident direction to stakeholders, explaining recommended configurations and impacts. Develop creative, scalable Cvent solutions for complex builds, VIP workflows, and unique registration scenarios.

  • Build Cvent registration sites end‑to‑end, ensuring strong user experience, accurate data capture, and alignment with client standards. Configure advanced rules, housing/air pages, sessions, and communication workflows to meet event needs. Ensure all builds comply with client’s testing, content, branding, and data‑privacy requirements.

  • Handle communications within assigned event inboxes using rules, templates, and organizational tools. Triage and respond to attendee questions quickly and professionally. Build, test, and target all Cvent communications (automatic and custom) in line with client standards.

  • Establish and communicate clear results, timelines, and next steps to keep site builds on track. Coordinate content collection, testing cycles, and launch milestones. Run multiple events simultaneously across varying lifecycle stages.

  • Independently troubleshoot platform issues using internal resources, client resources, and CVENT support. Call out platform bugs when needed and anticipate stakeholder/attendee needs before issues arise.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with Cvent integrations (Marketo, mobile apps, check‑in or scheduling tools).

  • Experience coaching colleagues on Cvent features.

  • Background in complex, multi‑hotel, or VIP‑heavy programs.

  • Cvent certification(s).

  • Event Technology Expertise — Deep proficiency in Cvent (registration, housing, advanced rules, reporting) with ability to design scalable solutions that balance attendee experience and operational accuracy.

  • Client Consulting & Influence — Translates event goals into effective solutions; delivers clear, executive-level guidance and confidently explains technical recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Operational Excellence — Leads multiple concurrent events with strong organizational discipline, data accuracy, and attention to detail; maintains precision in rooming lists and billing records.

  • Problem-Solving & Independence — Troubleshoots issues proactively using internal and external resources; makes sound decisions quickly under pressure with minimal direction.

  • Workflow Optimization & Communication — Leverages technology (Cvent, Outlook, Excel, integrations) to streamline processes; handles high-volume communications with clarity, reliability, and professional presence.

The US national base salary range for this position is from 

$60,200.00 - $111,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, the anticipated range of which is posted above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus which rewards participants based on individual and/or company performance.
