We are looking for a Senior Audience Marketing Manager to own the audience strategy for an assigned industry vertical — across both net-new prospect accounts and Five9's existing customer base — and to be the connection between marketing investment and pipeline outcomes. Reporting to the Senior Director of N. America Demand Generation, this person is accountable for how well Five9 understands its target accounts in the vertical, how consistently marketing and sales work from the same plan, and how effectively the company's platform story lands with the specific buying committee in that industry, whether that account is being won for the first time or grown after the sale.

The specific vertical this role owns — Healthcare, Financial Services and Insurance, or another priority industry — is based on business need and may shift over time. Whatever the assignment, the job is the same: build the audience plan for the full account base in that vertical, run the campaigns that plan calls for, and manage the budget behind it, end to end.

The right candidate treats campaign execution as a means to a pipeline outcome, not an end in itself. They build, run, and optimize the campaigns their vertical needs, while partnering with Sales, Sales Development, Customer Success/Account Management, Solution Consulting, Product Marketing, and Brand to align that execution with go-to-market priorities rather than running a parallel plan. And they can defend the plan in front of leadership with pipeline logic, not vanity metrics.

Key ResponsibilitiesAudience Strategy & Measurement
  • Own and communicate the audience marketing strategy for an assigned industry vertical tied directly to Five9's account-based go-to-market model, spanning the entire lifecycle from net-new prospect to customer advocate.
  • Establish the measurement model connecting audience activity to business outcomes — new and expansion pipeline creation, account engagement, and progression through the funnel.
  • Present vertical performance and investment cases to marketing and sales leadership with a clear line from spend to outcome.
Pipeline & Revenue Partnership
  • Own the marketing contribution to the vertical's pipeline in direct partnership with the Sales, Sales Development, and Customer Success/Account Management teams working the same account list.
  • Build and run marketing programs into the vertical's existing customer base, driving engagement, expansion, and cross-sell with the same rigor applied to net-new pipeline.
  • Participate in the vertical's pipeline cadence, reporting progress and gaps alongside the sales and customer success counterparts who own the same accounts.
Persona & Positioning Strategy
  • Adapt Five9's core platform positioning to the buying committee inside the vertical, translating a horizontal narrative into an industry-specific pitch.
  • Equip Sales, Sales Development, and Customer Success/Account Management with vertical-specific messaging, proof points, and objection handling while staying current on the industry's regulatory and competitive context as assignments shift.
  • Know which competitors matter most for the vertical — build that differentiation into campaign messaging proactively, ensuring the marketing itself makes the case rather than leaving differentiation to be argued deal-by-deal in Sales conversations.
Budget & Program Execution
  • Manage the marketing budget for the vertical — making deliberate trade-offs across prospect accounts, customer accounts, events, campaigns, and content.
Candidate Requirements and Experience
  • 6+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with direct accountability for pipeline or revenue outcomes.
  • Experience designing and executing account-based, vertical, or industry-specific marketing programs.
  • Track record partnering directly with sales organizations against a shared account list and shared pipeline targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to tie marketing programs to pipeline and revenue outcomes, not activity metrics.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS buying processes and multi-persona buying committees, and experience owning and defending a marketing budget.
  • Working fluency across the full demand marketing mix — field, digital, email, content, and events — with a clear point of view on how each channel contributes to, converts, and reinforces the others inside one integrated plan. This role is built for a well-rounded demand marketer, not a single-channel specialist.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt core positioning for different personas and industries, and comfort working consistently from shared frameworks and proof points rather than developing messaging independently.
  • Experience marketing into a regulated or compliance-heavy B2B industry — financial services, healthcare, government, or similar — is highly recommended.
  • Experience in contact center, CCaaS, UCaaS, or adjacent technology industries is highly recommended, along with familiarity with account scoring/ICP models, ABM platforms (e.g., 6sense, Demandbase), and Salesforce or marketing analytics tools.
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern AI tools and a clear point of view on their application to audience and demand marketing — including practical experience using AI to accelerate campaign development, research, and content production.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
