Role Description

As a Senior Benefits Partner on the Global Benefits Team, you will drive the strategic design, delivery, and optimization of Dropbox’s benefits programs in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring they align with the company’s goals, values, and culture. You will play a critical role in areas such as program strategy, operational excellence, and employee experience. This role will involve leadership in managing complex benefit plans, influencing key decisions through data-driven insights, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to meet the evolving needs of a global workforce. You will have opportunities to partner on key corporate initiatives such as M&A’s, divestitures and location expansions.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Benefits Partner, you will:

  • Lead the strategic management of benefit plans across the US and Canada, including medical insurance, retirement plans, risk insurance, COBRA, compliance, and more.
  • Act as the primary liaison with brokers, providers, and vendors to ensure plans are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and implement benefit strategies that enhance employee engagement while aligning with Dropbox’s business objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end execution of benefits-related projects, including renewals, audits, compliance updates, and system implementations.
  • Develop scalable processes and policies to ensure operational excellence in benefits administration.
  • Provide thought leadership on industry trends, benchmarking, and innovative benefits solutions to meet the many needs of Dropbox’s global workforce.
  • Collaborate closely with payroll, HRITS, legal, and HR teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of benefit programs.
  • Champion employee experience by creating accessible, well-communicated benefits resources and educational programs that empower employees to maximize their benefits.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A proven track record of designing and managing comprehensive benefits programs at scale.
  • Experience with RFP's, renewals and carrier negotiations / working with brokers & consultants?
  • At least 10+ years of progressive experience in benefits management, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
  • Expertise in compliance requirements, industry trends, and best practices for benefits administration in a global environment.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Deep understanding of benefits technology platforms and tools, such as Workday and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive Benefits Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in benefits management, with at least 5 years in a strategic or senior-level role.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with many
  • audiences, including senior executives, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization. Skilled in presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated expertise in using structured, data-driven approaches to solve complex challenges. Ability to synthesize business objectives, market trends, and organizational needs to develop and propose impactful benefits strategies.
  • Project Leadership: Experience managing large-scale projects, such as benefits renewals, compliance audits, or system implementations, with a focus on meeting deadlines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Global Perspective: Familiarity with global benefits practices and the ability to design and manage programs that cater to an international workforce.
  • Compliance Expertise: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to employee benefits in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills in benefits tools and platforms such as Workday, Workday Benefits  Excel, and other analytics or communication-enhancing tools.
