Ciklum is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team full-time the US.

About the role:

As a Senior Business Analyst with strong Cards and Payments domain expertise, preferably with hands-on experience working with TSYS or other major card processing platforms. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, technology teams, QA, and payment processors to define requirements and deliver card payment solutions.

Responsibilities: 

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder discussions and workshops
  • Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and process flows
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, QA, and business teams throughout the SDLC
  • Provide functional expertise across credit, debit, and prepaid card products
  • Demonstrate understanding of the card transaction lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, settlement, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, and disputes
  • Work with TSYS/card processing platforms and understand processor integrations and downstream systems
  • Analyze change requests, perform impact analysis, and identify dependencies across applications and teams
  • Support UAT planning, test case reviews, defect triage, and production releases
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure requirements are completely covered through functional and integration testing
  • Work with APIs, data flows, interfaces, and system integrations to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives
  • Maintain requirements traceability from business requirements through development, testing, and production implementation
  • Support investigation and resolution of production issues and business queries
  • Work with payment networks and industry standards, including Visa, Mastercard, and relevant regulatory/compliance requirements

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst
  • Strong experience in Cards and Payments domain
  • Hands-on experience with TSYS or similar card processing platforms
  • Strong knowledge of credit card, debit card, and prepaid card processing
  • Experience with requirements gathering and documentation
  • Strong knowledge of BRD, FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
  • Experience with UAT, integration testing, defect management, and release support
  • Understanding of APIs, system integrations, data mapping, and data flows
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

Personal skills:  

  • Knowledge of ISO 8583 and card payment messaging
  • Experience with tokenization and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Understanding of card authorization, clearing, settlement, chargebacks, and reconciliation
  • Experience working with Visa/Mastercard mandates and compliance changes
  • Knowledge of FIS, Fiserv, TSYS PRIME, or other payment processors
  • Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and analysis
  • Experience with payment fraud, risk, or regulatory initiatives
