Job summary

As a Senior Business Transformation Architect, you’ll be the person we throw at our hardest problems. You’ll operate as a lead internal consultant—embedded in business units, identifying the highest-impact AI and process opportunities, building the business cases, and driving initiatives from pilot to success.

This is not an advisory role. You will own problems end-to-end. You’ll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, navigating organizational complexity, and delivering results without a detailed playbook. The business will look to you for straight answers on what’s real versus hype in AI—and then expect you to go architect it. You’ll join a high-performing team that moves fast and fully owns outcomes.

In your first 90 days, you’ll audit the current AI landscape across the company, identify the top opportunities, present your recommended roadmap to the executive team, and start executing.

What you will do

AI Strategy & Architecture (~70%)

  • Lead AI opportunity discovery across business units — Sales, Finance, Support, Engineering, Legal — identifying where to leverage intelligence and automation to create real, measurable value
  • Build rigorous business cases with projected ROI for AI initiatives; present recommendations to senior leadership and the board
  • Evaluate AI tools and vendors, architect solution approaches, and manage pilot programs through validation and scale decisions
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, Legal, and Compliance on technical feasibility, AI governance, and responsible AI practices

Business Transformation & Strategy (~30%)

  • Provide senior-level support for major business strategy and architecture initiatives across the transformation portfolio
  • Lead process discovery, process documentation, and solution design development for cross-functional improvement programs
  • Advise on system implementations, vendor selection, and change management strategy for strategic programs
  • Partner closely with execution teams to ensure strategic recommendations translate into measurable outcomes

What you will have

  • Background in management consulting, enterprise strategy, business architecture, or AI/digital transformation
  • Track record of owning ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives — scoping messy problems into structured plans and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Proven experience leading business process analysis and optimization initiatives — mapping complex end-to-end workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and designing future-state solutions that deliver measurable efficiency, speed, or business impact
  • Broad business architecture acumen — systems, data, and technical feasibility
  • Experience building and presenting business cases to senior leadership or executive teams
  • Hands-on experience evaluating, implementing, and scaling enterprise AI solutions (LLMs, automation platforms, intelligent workflows)
  • Fluency with frontier models and daily, habitual use of AI tools across your own work

Nice to have

  • Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise software environments
  • Familiarity with GTM systems and processes (Salesforce, etc.)
  • Product, engineering, or technical experience
  • Founder, co-founder, or early-stage startup experience
  • Active engagement with the AI ecosystem — follows weekly developments on X, reads research blogs, and tests new tools proactively

What sets this role apart

  • Direct impact: You’re not three layers removed from decisions. You’ll present to the C-suite, shape the AI roadmap, and see your recommendations become reality.
  • Dual mandate: AI strategy and business transformation under one roof. You get the breadth of consulting with the depth of an in-house role.
  • Greenfield opportunity: DigiCert’s enterprise AI program is being built from the ground up. You’re not inheriting someone else’s strategy — you’re creating it.
  • Small team, big leverage: This is a high-trust team where your work directly shapes company direction — with the autonomy and pace to match.
  • Growth trajectory: This is a senior IC role today, with a clear path toward principal-level scope as the AI practice scales.
