What You'll Do

  • Support cloud platform architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Translate high-level architecture decisions into practical engineering tasks and delivery plans

  • Drive improvements across platform patterns including networking, IAM, security, observability, automation, and deployment workflows

  • Troubleshoot and escalate complex cloud operations issues, providing senior technical guidance and solutions

  • Mature runbooks, monitoring strategies, alerting frameworks, support handoffs, and operational documentation

  • Identify platform gaps, technical debt, architectural risks, and prioritize improvement opportunities

  • Collaborate with product teams across multiple projects and business units to align cloud infrastructure with application needs

  • Mentor engineers on cloud architecture, DevOps best practices, and operational excellence

  • Work closely with Google Cloud, internal infrastructure teams, and external partners to optimize platform capabilities

  • Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for cloud platform issues

  • Establish and enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security standards



Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure

  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments

  • Expert knowledge of GCP services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, Cloud SQL, and observability

  • Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools

  • Deep experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Helm) and deployment automation

  • Deep experience with Kubernetes/ GKE, container orchestration, load balancing, and networking

  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)

  • Experience supporting mission-critical production cloud workloads at scale

  • Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and IAM best practices

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions

  • Proven track record of mentoring engineers and driving architectural standards

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to work across teams

  • Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and escalation handling
