What You'll Do:

The CoreWeave Legal and Government Affairs (LGA) team at CoreWeave is highly collaborative and partners closely with teams across the company to navigate complex policy, regulatory, and business environments while enabling innovation and growth. The team is pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and deeply engaged in strategic decision-making, with a strong emphasis on building trusted relationships across the organization.

As Senior Community Affairs & Partnerships Manager, you will lead community engagement across assigned markets and strengthen CoreWeave's social license to operate. You will build trusted local relationships, guide cross-functional engagement strategies, and ensure community considerations inform site selection, permitting, construction, and operations. About the role:

Reporting to the Director, Community Affairs & Partnerships, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and will independently assess local risks and opportunities, translate community developments into clear business recommendations, and help ensure the company makes informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

You will lead the development and negotiation of community benefit agreements and support PILOTs, RDAs, and other development agreements that advance CoreWeave's business objectives while creating meaningful value for host communities. You will also oversee local partnerships and community investments and work with CoreWeave Cares and our Employee Action Networks to direct employee-driven community impact toward the markets where CoreWeave operates.

In this role you will:

  • Own and lead cross-functional community engagement strategies across assigned markets, partnering with Government Affairs, Communications, People, Legal, Development, Operations, and other teams to align engagement with business objectives, permitting milestones, construction schedules, and operational priorities.
  • Lead Community Affairs input into site selection and project due diligence, assessing community sentiment, political dynamics, stakeholder priorities, local opposition, and reputational risk in prospective and active markets.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with elected officials, community leaders, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, unions, business groups, and other local stakeholders; represent CoreWeave in community, political, and public forums.
  • Develop and execute market-specific engagement plans that identify key stakeholders, anticipate emerging issues, establish engagement milestones, and recommend practical courses of action and escalation paths.
  • Lead the development and negotiation of community benefit agreements and coordinate with the Incentives, Legal, and Development teams on PILOTs, RDAs, and similar development agreements.
  • Identify, recommend, and oversee local partnerships and community investments aligned with business and community priorities, including initiatives with CoreWeave Cares and Employee Action Networks.
  • Establish KPIs and provide senior leaders with concise reporting and recommendations regarding stakeholder alignment, community sentiment, issue resolution, partnership outcomes, and material local risks and opportunities.
  • Manage budgets for engagement activities, events, sponsorships, partnerships, and community investments while developing scalable processes, stakeholder-management practices, and coordination models for the growing Community Affairs function.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in community affairs, stakeholder engagement, social performance, public affairs, government affairs, or external relations.
  • Experience supporting data centers, energy, or other large-scale critical-infrastructure development, including permitting or entitlement processes.
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading complex, multi-market stakeholder strategies and translating local developments into clear business recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with senior government officials, community organizations, business groups, labor representatives, and other local stakeholders.
  • Experience advising senior leaders and coordinating specialized cross-functional teams in politically sensitive or high-visibility environments.
  • Experience using stakeholder-management tools and metrics to track engagement activity, risks, commitments, and outcomes.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and manage priorities across multiple markets.
Preferred:
  • Experience negotiating community benefit agreements, PILOTs, RDAs, or similar development agreements.
  • Experience managing corporate-giving, community-investment, sponsorship, or corporate partnership portfolios.

The base salary range for this role is $143,000 to $191,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
