Senior Consultant, Strategic Business Development

The Dell Client Solutions Group (CSG) Strategic Planning team is seeking an exceptional leader and a forward thinker to work with us on key strategic initiatives. We are responsible for defining and driving strategic programs for Dell CSG, working collaboratively across Dell Services, Corporate Development and other Dell Business Units. The team is responsible for both organic and inorganic strategic programs which include growth strategy, operational improvements, due diligence, integration and support. You will be based in the Greater Austin, Texas area, with only minimal travel typically necessary.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Consultant in Strategic Business Development, you’ll work on highly complex problems, providing insight into the strategic issues which are forefront in the minds of the Executive Leadership Team. You’ll gain exposure to senior-level executives and establish relationships across all areas of the company.

You will:

  • Work with lines of business to address a strategic product opportunity in order to develop, drive and synthesize analytical results to support strategic problems as identified by leadership
  • Develop a global/regional growth plan or business case and manage cross-functional teams to drive a comprehensive set of tactical actions
  • Provide thought leadership on transformational programs by developing a robust fact base, identifying potential alternatives, providing a perspective on the recommended path forward and establishing an implementation plan
  • Create compelling “storyboards‟ with limited guidance as well as write key sections of presentations
  • Serve as an expert in the field as well as a Principal Advisor to work on issues that impact program success or address future concepts and products; Results impact multiple functions

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical ability to implement solutions; this requires a longer-term view which will impact strategic goals and objectives
  • Innovative and structured thinking to provide, guide and use professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues
  • Applies extensive knowledge of theories, practices and design matters as well as leads the application of existing principles and guides development of new ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and expert proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely (both written and verbally)

Desirable Requirements:

  • Typically requires 15+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12+ years and a Master’s degree; or 8+ years and a PhD; or equivalent experience
  • Strong coaching ability

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $209, 100 – $270,600.
